Devil & Evil Doers – Talmud & Torah!!!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

When I study Torah and Talmud my mind is eased by the presence of justice …in daily life one must take action to thwart and dismiss evil doers so as to live fully under G-d’s law. I thank G-d for a legal system that assist through protective laws – the ability to sue for threats, slander, defamation and harassment. My husband and I take full advantage of jurist prudence …lawsuits, legal name change, disinheritance/disowning, etc.. Additionally, my brilliant computer scientist/genealogist husband works continually on erasing any remnants of  our enemies – leaving only those needed as “place holders’ on family trees and deleting the “devils” on important sites like Ancestry.com. One learns to make the narrative as G-d intended – filled only with those worthy of love and consideration. Looking forward to my book, Heiress Mommy, being published [2013] – to tell the real story, help others and get a little payback in order to right the wrongs perpetrated by the “devil & evil doers”!!!

Gal Pals & Goddesses!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

My dear brilliant friend Erica Negi wrote a wonderful book, “My Life In Loubies“. As I  often found myself needing to do in my personal and professional life, this book makes clear that a woman CAN be enamored of the finer things in life – look good, while doing good – and still having good moral character. The stereotypes used against us goddesses [which I see all woman of goodness to be] are too frequently perpetrated by the haters among us. I for one have been blessed with the most amazing, loving and supportive gal pals – all who appreciate a REAL shoe and have REAL families/children/husbands and are DEFINITELY REAL WOMEN. Please read a REAL woman’s book, “My Life In Loubies” – recommended by her REAL friend, this goddess.

My Life In Sports!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

I remain grateful for parents who insisted that exercise and sports be a part of my life …which I & my husband do as parents of twin sons. In fact, my husband so hoped for children that he could share a love of sports with – the twins main nursery is totally sports motif. The plan is for their life, like ours, to be varied;   I hope they ride, crew, play polo, swim, fly fish [like myself], jog, golf, play tennis and of course, appreciate American football & especially baseball.

The pathos of baseball is amazingly highlighted in the movie Money Ball (NYT Article,    Vanity Fair article) and combines some of my other passions – economics, logic and math with the imperative of this all American past time. As we approach the all East Coast Super Bowl, I am reminded [even though as a Jewish protective Mother never allowing our boys to play] that my husband bonded with me on our first meeting with a chat about my beloved hometown Eagles – I guess one could say football has been very, very good to me considering we married 3 months later!

My Left Brain/Right Brain Conflict!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Unfortunately new babies [twin sons] arrival kept me from getting  a spot at the Davos World Economic Forum 2012, as well as attending Paris Fashion Week during January. But I am determined to have 2013 be my year to attend both – but what is a intellectual fashionista to do? These two important events that are near and dear to my heart overlap … I suppose I will be jetting  between them to satisfy my quandary – with husband, twins, au pair, etc. in tow

Of course, one would hope to persuade one of these venues to move their date a wee bit forward or back …as fashion is finance – textiles, manufacturing, design, retail & the rest!

When Class Warfare Was Sweet ?

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Edith Wharton [The Age of Innocence, etc.]  would have turned 150 years old yesterday [born 24January1862] had firm opinions about class structure – sadly, today it has become almost a civil war. Last evening [24-Januar-y2012] President Obama highlighted  in his State Of The Union Address the ever growing economic inequality in America …as he so wisely stated – wealth & success are to be admired but all must gain through their hard work in order to have a viable & sustainable nation and world. There are far too many among us who feel no empathy for those in need and a equal number who claim entitlement for that which is not theirs …fairness should/must be the doctrine if we are to survive.

That being said, I LOVE the “Manor Life”!!!

CHINESE AND JEWISH CALENDAR SIMILARITIES

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

A similarity exists in the Biblical calendar of the Jews and in the traditional
Chinese calendar; they both are lunar-solar.  This is the only correct calendar
from the requirement of Genesis 1:14.  In a lunar calendar each month begins
at new moon, the narrowest half-circle of moonlight in the sky.  Each month is
actually 291/2 days so the months alternate 30 days, 29 days, 30 days, etc.  The
lunar year has 3543/8 days in twelve months but the solar year has 3651/4 days,
(the time the earth makes one orbit of the sun).  Chinese and Jewish calendars
equalise the lunar and solar year lengths the same way, by a thirteenth month
added whenever needed.  This works out practically in a nineteen-year cycle
wherein twelve years of every nineteen years have 12 months and seven years
have 13 months.  Nineteen years contain 235 lunar months; so in this way the
moon keeps time, and the sun keeps time, and the years keep to the seasons.

I want to wish my Chinese friends the most happiest of the New Year of the Dragon …like us, the Jewish world, the Chinese calendar was created before the common era. For me it is the year 5772. I embrace the Dragon & strive to live in the same fierce way. L’Chaim!!!

Proud to be a JAP!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

My faith – Judaism & my devotion to Israel, as a Zionist, have often caused me difficulty as a proud American citizen. Many important people in my life are not Jewish … my dear husband/father of our twin sons,  my best friends  & many special colleagues. I hope that when my book Heiress Mommy is published next year – most will realize that I & others can be many things – while still being a person of faith.

Shalom & L’Chaim !!!

My litigious life with Loubies!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

I LOVE when my passion for jurist prudence meets my Loubie red soled shoes in Court. Consider the Sunday New York Times article on copyright law, “Little Red (Litigious) Shoes“.

So I am ecstatic that the NYT (another passion of mine) covers the intersection of IP Law and Fashion. This is not a frivolous matter however …Yves Saint Laurent & Louboutin are in the common current argument as to who owns what concerning ones product or design – all should be concerned!

My Blog Introduction!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

I am a proud JAP – a devoted & deliriously happy wife & proud Mother – blessed with many exceptional friends & colleagues, as well as a truly amazing support system. On 10January2012 in Court – my husband, children [our twin sons, Aleksander Benjamin & Chase Joseph] & myself legally assumed the new last name of Eliasz-Solomon …combining my “maiden” name & my husband’s last name – this was my darling husband Chester Michael’s idea, which he wanted in order to honor my great family & to separate/make us unique from others we no longer wanted to be associated with in any way. I am looking forward to my book, Heiress Mommy being published late 2012/early 2013 …a tale of triumph & a bit of pay back – all glorious in the end. Shalom!!!
