Going Punk to The Met Ball … Really?

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Punk-Chaos-to-CoutureFor years, one or another opportunity seemed to present itself that would perhaps have gotten me an invite to the iconic annual‍ Metropolitan Museum Ball ‍in New York City. No REAL invitation – only the stirrings of a possibility. Never doubting one year it would happen and as soon as I had a REAL publicist in my life, the “MUST get me to” list included this amazing event. Life busy – multiple pregnancies, moving, school, etc., plus, of course dealing with The Miscreants™ made only now the plan be within reach … thinking my year end 2013 memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! being published might just do the trick for 2014. My admiration and devotion to the efforts surrounding this fete are not purely pedestrian – not REALLY a singular wanting to be present for celebrity sake. Although, I readily admit that my REAL support team, myself and Hubby dear guffaw at the thought of how berserk members of THE REAL Evil Doers Club™ will be when seeing me there on that red carpet … wait, would these idiots even know what this event is? Well at least vandal Chicago pant seller poseur guy will – more on that in my book and subsequent interviews. Not at all without the ability to fawn over the well known, my REAL desire is to attend as a joyful guest, in support of the REAL value that such endeavors involve. Trust me that as a lifelong student of the nuances that otherwise seemingly frivolous happenings broaden to include in their scope, The Met Ball is about much, much more than glitter and bling.

This year on 6 May 2013 the theme will be Punk fashion … that’s right – Punk and its morphing into couture and the mainstream.  There will be an accompanying exhibit until August that examines this phenomenon. Accompanying the exhibit is a book, Punk: Chaos to Couture, by Andrew Bolton. All Met Galas have themes and each promotes an awareness of its subject matter – hopeful that the media attention creates interest and of course, commerce for the fashion industry. One might think of it as democratization of the arts. Without a doubt there are some who think such events frivolous and insignificant in relation to the more serious issues facing this world  – oh my, I say prospective attitude  is needed my darlings. There are jobs and jobs and jobs that REALLY depend on those factions highlighted at such social events – workers bees and creative types alike benefiting in multiple ways because The Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute survives and thrives. Preservation of items and venues like those this and other museums house is of paramount necessity to our culture; the REAL beauty of a democratic society is that all people can view and enjoy creations once reserved for the few and mighty. Does anyone REALLY believe that instead of artifacts there would be more food and shelter provided for the needy? No is the equivocalness answer – there is no quid pro quo exchange in this scenario and as that is a REAL fact we all must glean as best possible the benefits [near and far] that are afforded the world through the grandeur of these times and places. Blessings to Anna Wintour, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue who rightfully can claim for many years having been responsible for turning this Spring annual fete into a massive global attention getting happening. Her marketing and public relations genius is nearly unparalleled – I for one am a fan of this determined business woman. May I say that many paychecks are cashed on account of Ms. Wintour’s efforts – a thank you to her would be in order my friends.

Oh yes, one more brilliant addition to this event is that Beyonce Knowles [Mrs. Carter] was announced as the Honorary Chairperson of this year’s Costume Institute Gala. Marvelous choice I think – this talented performer, business woman, wife and mother is a fashionista without question. Indeed her celebrity status brings attention to such events from those who might not have otherwise tuned in but isn’t that just more inclusion to be championed – well I think it is. Now I go to contemplate how best to be sure that I REALLY am invited in 2014 – so much to do between now and then … perhaps a little visit to my brilliant plastic surgeon/dermatologist, more working out to be scheduled, deciding what couture designer to be visited and more – wow, I am exhausted already!

The REAL Links In Boston … continued.

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

REAL LinksLast week I wrote a post, ONLY As Strong As The Weakest Link! (24 April 2013) and left you with mention that I would further discuss why familial and community links REALLY do matter.  Yes, as I admitted before,  I am making the general personal but not without considered analysis. Those who read me regularly and certainly if you know me personally, are quite aware of just how egregious and serious such issues of connective interplay is in my and my husband’s daily life narrative. So much of what might be considered arbitrary to most, has become importantly addressed in our existence … concerns of safety paramount among the issues. Even attorneys and law enforcement – along with seasoned investigators – are struck shocked at the situations of vandalism, threats, theft, almost biblical levels of family betrayal and more that my and my husband have needed to thwart.

Links, chains, intertwined relationships and even DNA insinuate an interaction and responsibility that creates a circular presence. Children’s books teach the idea if this equals that, than that will mean another thing occurs … cause and effect are the base algorithms that define the fabric that creates or destroys an entity. So much of life is the “if only“, the “should and could haves” that a person often reflects on with regret and sorrow. Me – well I REALLY try to live so that although not without redress, there is little left unattended or pursued. So much of life is happenstance and serendipitous – frequently a simple matter of right or wrong place at a particularly opportune moment. Gloried tales of going into a store or restaurant and unexpectedly meeting your soul mate [my true story] abound and there are the tragic split second decisions that for one or another reason produce horrific tragedies. Whether by premeditated conscious decisiveness or the opposite of intuitive and unexplained reactions – all of life can turn on one decision or indecision some times. So this brings us to the Boston Marathon bombing a few weeks ago – a great deal of this tragedy was based on circumstances both consciously created by and accidentally initiated by we humans. Missed signals, ignored possibilities or deliberate actions were morphed in one singular fact of a national disaster – an act of terrorism and crime.

Immigrants arrive in America – the family Tsarnaev and the man from Costa Rica  Carlos Luis de Los Ángeles Arredondo. All seem to have promising futures in their newly arrived in country. Each progresses in effort to assimilate and succeed just as generation after generations of various ethnic groups and a multitude of nationalities have previously in the U.S.A.. No REAL problems or arisen reason for concern about any of these people – but, not all goes well and still nothing appears any way different a scenario than any citizen born here in that life narratives ebb and flow no matter the origins from which it began. For the Chechnya family there are admirable scholastic successes – their doctor Uncles financially and socially well placed. Stresses present a lessening of the trajectory toward the so called “all American” life and yet this is no different than others poorly arrived at choices – no different than my husband’s ex-wife’s 3 children criminally vandalizing our home, lies on their college/financial aid applications, high school terrorism threat charges, mental illness hospitalization, suspected recent [according to internet] involvement in retail theft, etc.. Whose to say that my nemesis continuing troublesome activities will not result in a further tragedy …. after all, one child at age 20, was already killed in what we were told was her Mother’s broken down van vehicle while traveling – no make that running away from what many believe was a bad home environment at her Mother and Step-Father’s home. There are so many other incidents that will be soon fully known through my book, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life!, trail and lawsuits media coverage and more that suggest possibility for REAL tragedy or at the very least REALLY failed lives for these enemies of mine. Suffice it to say, that the Boston Bombers were not all that different except for one or two [to date] circumstances than those who have harmed and threatened myself and my husband. What one incident made the REAL differences or could it be nothing more complicated than luck – pure and simple luck?

The other immigrant who became a U.S. citizen while protesting our involvement in Iraq is boldly proud to claim love for America …his son sacrificed fighting for it and the other so devastated by the death of his brother commits suicide. Carlos Arrendondo is at the Boston Marathon to honor our veterans, including his lost boy – trained by volunteering at the Red Cross, it is he who runs toward the injured and saves Jeff Bauman’s life  – this seriously injured man who looked into the eyes of the bombers was to later be an eye witness giving testimony to the FBI identifying the bomber he saw. What thread of interconnection – what coincidence or choice placed each there that day and what matter is it really? Surely Mr. Bauman cares little of the how or whys that placed a trained individual to stance his blood flow that day – without question grateful and probably further shaken when contemplating the if not for consequences. Predestination and free will are never REALLY separated in result, as there are without doubt part and parcel of each that creates the outcome.

Other links to the April 15th Boston tragedy are now coming to light – on 11 September 2011 3 Jewish men [Erik Weissman, Raphael Teken and Brendan Mess] were murdered in Boston and one, Brendan Mess, was the best friend of Tamerlan Tsarnaev. The Boston police now admit that for  whatever reason or lack of REAL investigatory effort, they dismissed these killings as drug related on account of the well established marijuana use by the dead men. Now and only after rethinking that conclusion on account of Tamerlan Tsarnaev being one of the two bombers, are they finally reexamining that case. Some have suggested prejudice was at play in law enforcement’s assumption – narrowing of their minds on account of life narrative, neighborhood where deaths occurred or perhaps antisemitism have left the families of the three murdered men begging for justice. Will that justice now be accomplished due to do one Tsarnaev brother being already dead and the other if not receiving the death sentence, then spending his entire life in prison? What moment one thinks makes the difference in life – a meeting, a friendship developed, a decision [which I myself have made] to train/run in a marathon – which and when is a choice thought simple grown into a life changing event? Not easy to answer and quite complicated to surmise – however we must give pause in contemplation, as the sages have for all time, as to which is in our human control and that significantly outside of our reasoned directive. Think of what links broken and which others made stronger have defined your biography – more importantly I suggest we all assert REAL effort to be sure the links that comprise our lives are those most likely to bring REAL joy and life affirmation to us all!

Art as Sports Metaphor or Vice Versa

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

One must always be careful
not to let one’s work be covered with moss.”

Marc Chagall

Art as sportsOne need have eyes to see, heart and soul to feel and an intelligent, open mind to comprehend – this is what I believe both art and sports demand of we the viewer, participant and consumer. Oh my, it has been a few week of horrors here in the United States and in many parts of the world this April 2013 and yet I found bliss in reading articles and attending – making plans and arrangements for coming exhibitions – art venues. Equally comforting was sports – reading about, viewing and definitely in the doing. As this Marc Chagall quotes suggest, we humans must not let the moss cover our work – be that which we create or do each day. Constant vigilance to not becoming complacent must rule the day in the face of all that confronts us and so with both art and sports there lies the chance to play in the game of life. The ancient Greeks produced many works of art that depict sports as a glorified life activity – surely that is a telling instruct that both disciplines elevate the human existence.

I was raised in a very eclectic family … busy, busy, busy bees were we – no  possibilities nor opportunities left to chance. As some of my other blog post explain no matter whether talented or championed in an activity, there was still value in the attempts and enjoyment in pursuit. So too with art and sports – guided toward giving all a try and to never deny ourselves the pleasure just because the struggle might be daunting. As such, I have and insist my children do as well, take full advantage of venues that allow participation and viewing in both the artistic and athletic worlds. In our REAL family and among many friends, careers in the arts have developed. I was fortunate to grow up – have as my best girl friends two sisters, more family in fact, that were talented artist … I was often the younger ones muse and proudly still display in my homes the works that I modeled for as her youthful accomplice. There are cousins who work in the fields of art and many friends who do likewise. Visiting museums all over the world has been one of my life pleasures and my husband and I subscribe to and attend both Sotheby’s and Christie’s auctions regularly. Why list all this for you my dear readers?  My reason is to suggest that like much in life, art is as sports – one needs to receive the pass to enjoy the pitch. Wow – a metaphoric directive indeed but only that which I truly believe important.

Growing up in Philadelphia allowed me to wonder the halls of many museums. In  fact, my previously mentioned young best gal pal and I as young teens made art museums our regular haunts – often we would wonder the floors of well known establishments, like the Philadelphia Art Museum and less famous, smaller off the beaten path places. I fondly remember our pretending to be that or another grand lady or fictional character in accordance with the art displayed and years later this same friend and I spent time in Switzerland and France going museum to museum large and small. A poignant aside is that in our early 20’s it was at this lifelong friend’s Painted Bride Philadelphia Art Show that I met my first [late] husband and of course, both she and her dear now deceased older sister were my bridesmaids less than one year later. My precious friend – a REAL artist who graduated University with Art Degrees and myself, with no such talents, equaled in enjoyment these shared art oriented activities. I believe my being able to do so was on account of being open to receiving that presented. How much of life can be defined by just such a sports metaphor – I think a great deal of what we humans define as missed or denied, is only those things we were not readied for or willing to accept as possibilities in our life. Far too often we hear people say, “Oh I am not good at that!” or  “That is just not for me!” – sad really as that then suggest the purview of much is only for the few.

Thrilling in my life is having the opportunity to go to many art events – well known and obscure, peruse catalogs and shops for purchases. Just as wonderful is going to a sports event – not always understanding either the game nor creation has ever caused a detour from my wanting to be there. No indeed, I feel a rightful place among those more skilled or learned. All should have the same confidence that expertise not a requirement for attendance at any event or occasion. Of course, pretense is not needed either – only simple awareness that all created is open to each of us, as long as respect is observed. I got the idea for this post when reading about and planning to visit exhibits of whom I consider a “life environment” artist, James Turrell. My husband and I hoping one day to have one of his light installation pieces in one of our homes, I decided to set out a plan for us to see one of his soon to be three museum shows. In my research I found him saying that which I always believed true, “Art is a completed pass. You don’t just throw it out into the world – someone has to catch it.“. Thrilling to me how exacting that statement is and not only for art or sports but for every single aspect of REAL living. In my memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! so much of what I hope to have my readers learn is that I REALLY knew how to catch those life opportunities – the passes thrown my way and how others can and should too!

Note: As I am sure my followers/readers have noticed by now, I use REAL and REALLY frequently in my post … that is, of course, deliberate and meant to be a pointed reference – one might say a hint aimed at those I reference so often as my husband and my nemesis. All will be clear in my book and accompanying interviews but for now, please know it is not without REAL reason that I denote much that way!!!

ONLY As Strong As The Weakest Link!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Thomas Reid’s Essays on the Intellectual Powers of Man in 1786. He states,
“In every chain of reasoning, the evidence of the last conclusion can be no greater than that of the weakest link of the chain, whatever may be the strength of the rest.”

broken-chainMuch repeated in many situations are the phrases, “Only as strong as the weakest link”  and  “Weak links sink ships!” – that verbiage can be easily morphed to many widely varied situations. Confidences not held private, members of those like my/my husband’s nemesis, THE REAL Evil Doers Club™ sharing private and often erroneous filled stories with danger vandal “cult” member types. Also REALLY dangerous are the slanderous, defaming and harassing lies those we titled The Miscreants™ attempted to promote and now comparable is that which this past month presented as a immigrant family was disseminated by two young men that maimed and killed for reasons of prejudice and their own falsely perceived notions and other ideas yet to be understood. Boston panicked and we in other U.S. cities remain fixated and frightened as we waited to know the who and the why of the Marathon bombing – no different I assure you then me and my husband anticipating the next egregious and hateful act our often referenced REAL enemies might attempt next. Yes, I many times make the general be personal … for is not REAL truth that which can be delineated from a larger circumstance that can also be easily made relevant to ones own life  – I tell you it can and should as an individual can glean many lessons and directives from understanding others plights.

In my own life those we faced were delusional in posture and tonality, with obvious disassociation from their own evil deeds and for the most part no address to reality. As with any weak link in a structure, keeping in contact with or maintaining a relationship with persons hell bent on destructive behavior – whether a family, corporation, program or community – is a certain “slippery slope” to disaster.  As I have written about in other posts, too often a false sense of propriety or that which some faux societal dictate suggests as legitimate leaves one in a less than desirable position. We all have heard and read stories about people destroyed – even killed – on account of not acting in their own best interest. No matter if financial or status or actual physical demise, letting some false sense of what is acceptable direct you can often lead to the most horrible of outcomes. Action and vigilance is required – a REAL sense of honest bravery and faith in your own ideals a must to guarantee the proper outcome and REAL life narrative. Nothing rogue or unique in my and my husband’s life plan … we are rather privately conservative in fact; our REAL family structure consists of an organized and prioritized format – many tasks, goals and involvements of career, family, social and professional activities equaling a REALLY full life. However, this is a paramount instruct: we will not allow those deliberate in attack to our core values to remain near or a threat. As political Liberals, we see an openness in society in the democratic form as magnificent – that does not also hold as a possibility in our personal life. I am fond of quipping that the Constitution ends at my front doors – we do all 100% legally in every way but we and only we [with G-d’s guidance] decide the process and outcome of our destiny.

In my memoir Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! I will fully detail and explain how my husband and I made a conscious and well studied decision to distance ourselves – cut permanently any connection to those we found immoral and corrupted – also dangerous to our well being. Some might think it extreme to have legally disowned and disinherited “family” members – others could consider it unseemly that my genealogist husband erased from all ancestry records these loathsome creatures but my tutorial here is that it was neither extreme nor without REAL cause. Just like the decent and quite accomplished Uncles, Ruslan & Alvi,  of the alleged Boston Marathon bombers, my husband and I  made a decision to never allow our REAL family to be sullied or further victimized by those we deemed less than worthy of a familial relationship. Vandalism, threats, lies, slander, harassment and still being investigated other civil and possible criminal activities left us no choice and so I instruct [as I have in other blog posts] that none of you reading this must allow others preconceived notions as to form and function of family decide your choice or limit your path. I ask each of you to be sure that no weak link destroys and makes less you, your family, your community or nation.  My wish for REALLY good people is that you find, as my husband and I have been blessed with:  the worthy people, those decent and loving, supportive people that strengthen you and empower your life plans !!!

No G-d Bombs!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Bomb blog postOh my G-d …what was that … run, run, run!!!” is some of what people shout as bombs explode as they are targeted by g-dless thugs. Last week it was the Boston Marathon which prompted my writing a post on 16 April 2013, Stealing Freedom! Prior to this here in the U.S. it was NYC 9/11 and before that Oklahoma City in the 1990’s; abroad it has been London, MadridParisIreland, Bosnia and many Middle East and African countries who experience the same horror of being targeted for nothing more than their existence. Constant vigilance is mandated in my ancestral homeland of Israel – there is an awareness that any time of any day a REAL evil doer will take ones life by placing a bomb on a bus, in a building or street corner. Presently the world seems to be little interested in stopping this in Syria – while lip service, threats to the controlling Assad Regime who blames “insidious Western influences” and some small intervention has occurred, no REAL and sustained effort to save Syria from total destruction is taking place. I focus on this particular civil war torn nation – not because theirs is any more egregious in circumstance than others nor because it is just the most current in an all too long list of similar scenarios – the reason I highlight Syria is on account of the poignancy of the sign you see here. When I came across this photo and accompanying text, the words – the plea reminded me of how many times I myself argued over the years that we all must pay head to even those we oppose as they are subjugated to the REALLY g-dless thieves of humanity. Sadly, I have been proven correct in thinking “them today, possibly us tomorrow” and why not as it is a complete lie and misrepresentation that a any religious belief actually promotes a person placing a bomb in order to kill and mane innocent persons. Atheist, agnostic or believer surely agrees that it is 100% a usury protestation by the most evil among us to profess religiosity as reason for such crimes.

War is a two sided occurrence and while yes often disproportionate in framework as one combatant is much more prepared/well equipped than the other, still the exchange is a knowingly reciprocation. Not so with terrorism – those incidents are exactly as the categorization states – pure terror propagated by one person or group against another real or perceived enemy. Never to be tolerated no matter which side of the supposed argument you favor – never because there is no REAL logic and definitely no “G-d and angels are on our side” acceptable reasoning. I am no passivity devotee my dear readers – not in the least way and as such I am a logical and strong willed person who accepts fully the sad fact that armed engagement must often be the means to survival for a people or nation. I even accept the at time targeted demise of leaders, groups and individuals hell bent on annihilation of others. What is never ever acceptable is random and self righteous targeting of communities to demonstrate some faux religious or nationalistic fervor. Why even a one time legitimate government like Syria’s now having its regulation armed forces bomb bakeries so that terror in the form of its citizens not being able to venture out for food poses the undeniable question as to what is the REAL motive at play in this battle? Terrorism for terrorizing sake finds no logic nor excuse in form or action – once the purpose becomes apparently creating an atmosphere of terror is made clear, all other realistic arguments are negated.

Listen folks – I am not shy about admitting that I am an Old Testament/Bible “eye for an eye” tough proactive, protect my rights at all costs type of broad. I nor my equally strong willed husband do not “suffer fools gladly“. But neither of us see this REAL determination to protect ourselves, REAL family, friends and community as a purview into some false idea that we above all others have the right to exist. Our ideal is that we let live, if you let us live … law enforcement, lawsuits and REAL truth is our defense mode – yes it is true that we have decided that full time REAL security is needed in our private and professional life on account of the often referenced in my writing The Miscreants™. Our plan and our recent years actions have been responsive and now proactive but NEVER predatory [even though that was what was done to us]. I bring my story into this post on account of wanting to show REAL connection and understanding to those who might feel the means to their own freedom is to destroy others – at times that might seem to be the only option but destruction of the enemy by path of REAL justice is the only route to the sought realized status all should seek. I am a religious person and my husband equal – my self Jewish, with maternal Muslim ancestral background and my husband a Catholic but neither of us thinks G-d wants us to target those other than the REAL enemies at our gate. Even with all our nemesis are REALLY guilty of – my husband and I have been extremely careful to have our attorneys, investigators and law enforcement pursue the exact individuals involved and not [some also loathsome] peripheral characters. You think me stretching to make the personal more globally relevant … I tell you not at all because my life story is a parallel tale to what some reason as the impetus to do harm. Let me assure you, as my memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! will fully detail, my husband and I rest REALLY well at night as we know G-d has been pleased that no self righteous attitude informed us in his name to defeat our enemies. There is no religious tenets that instruct terrorism as a route to glory … the Boston Marathon crime was no more a Islamist problem, than Oklahoma city bombing was Christian and we must also note that those who kill and mane at clinics that provide pregnancy termination services in the name of their Christ are using G-dless Bombs too!!!

Time for a REAL Change of Climate!!!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Earth day 2013 blogWe have always had severe weather – just read the Bible.“,  “I remember one Winter 30 years ago when we rarely wore coats on the East Coast“, “How do explain all the snow this past year? ” … yes indeed each of these and more are the far too often heard responses when discussing global warming issues. Now these ideas are not always from the extremist climate change deniers – no, actually many are surprisingly from rather moderate and truth be told, confused individuals. REALLY troubling is that most are hearing lie filled and very unscientifically sound rhetoric from the naysayers – those hell bent for a variety of mostly nefarious reasons to deter action toward solving the planet’s environmental crisis. Add in the ridiculous anti-climate change partisan political diatribes and oh my, the end result is that nothing nearing a unified global effort to deal with Earth’s resource destruction is happening. Why the hell REAL science has gotten political is far beyond my ability to comprehend – not saying I don’t understand the base motivations of finances, power and such but I am at a loss to digest fully the whys of any one wanting to leave unattended environmental problems that affect each and every one of us. Climate change denial moves from much necessary skepticism regarding such matters to the usurping tonality that belies the almost frightening misrepresentation of REAL facts.

Money talks and there is loads of it behind the so called contrarian scientist – these are the professionals being funded by groups wanting to protect profits they feel will be lessened by government imposed regulations on items like pollution. We need to create energy industry jobs from the how to conserve and create new sources of energy programs; we also can provide many employment opportunities for those working on and constructing REAL methods of climate control. I am in no way an extremist do-gooder type – not in any way do I insist all industry seize to exist in order to protect the environment. Instead I REALLY believe profit and protection for all can occur through a  sensible business and societal plan. Regulation is not the demon plan – no, no, no – it is through a regulatory system that we achieve controls and reasonable government oversight to instruct industry on the methods best proven to protect consumers and the environment.

Much more frightening –  at times belly laughter inspiring – are the wing nuts who seem to think climate change concerns and especially the United Nations initiatives on the subject are anti-Christ. These “end of days” zealots profess and I think REALLY believe that controlling the destruction of our Earth will deny their quested “second coming of Christ”. Well now, my Jewish faith teaches the polar opposite – we are dictated to be REAL stewards of the environment, as G-d created and gifted it to us and wants its safe keeping. No matter your chosen faith or lack there of – I am not willing to destroy this planet so another person’s religious desires might be achieved and besides the lineage from Earth destroyed to heavenly nirvana makes zero sense [just saying]. REAL science must rule the day on the subject of climate change and global warming … neither left/Liberal nor Right/Conservative should ever be allowed to impose their self motivated ideals on this REALLY imperative matter. The health and welfare of every living thing – human, animal and plant – depends on a concerted and intelligent effort to correct and control the destruction of our environment.

On a REALLY personal note – my late Father, Abraham H. Solomon,  was an early environmental activist; so much so that I included reference to his nearly life long efforts in dealing with this issue in my eulogy for him. I myself was at the first Earth Day celebration in 1970 – in Philadelphia. The children in my family always being the benefactors of my annual April tutorial and books/items to help make Earth Day fun. In my year end (2013) book, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! I will share much of how my life was altered by such matters of REAL science. For now, lets PLEASE work together – wise up and do our best to make Earth safe for all living things – learn about and enjoy this great gift from G-d on this Earth Day, 22 April 2013 !!!

Oh oh oh I, oh oh oh I

I wanna kiss ya, feel ya, please ya just right I wanna touch ya, love ya, baby all night Reward ya, for all the things you do You are my rock I love to rock with you I wanna rock with you

Five years my junior – good looking, REALLY smart, sexy, sweet and kind and much more – all apt descriptions of my husband, Chester Michael Eliasz-Solomon.  On 20 April 2013 my man turns 54 years young – happily he and I anticipating his now most important later in life role as proud father to our / his only children.  For him – for us both – new chapters of our shared and REALLY blessed life have just begun … no REAL plans for retirement but instead new ventures, growing family, grand excursions and most importantly, REAL love. We have been on the most amazing shared life journey for nearly ten years and now we begin an even more spectacular joined effort – as we two set off to enjoy tasks and endeavors not even thought possible when we married 29 November 2003, after having only known each other three months.

My husband is many wonderful things – he has a Masters Degree in Computer Science, was a well known Data Architect, a business owner, is a widely respected genealogist who translates many languages, a devoted husband, father and friend – he is also one of my editors and Web designers – helping my blog be perfected and working with me to be sure my publisher produces my book, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life ! in the appropriate manner. My husband is a REAL feminist – proof is his having legally taken my last name/have our children do the same and being my equal co-partner in all our newly formed professional ventures. My sweetheart is an amazing caretaker – home and hearth made better by his overseeing – even though glad to soon not be needing to, he can cook, bake, tidy up and look after quite well children and pets – even alone completely stunningly capable.

Somewhat sad is that except for a few dear cousins, my husband’s biological family are anything but impressive. If you follow me regularly and for certain if you know us personally, then you are aware of just how evil and useless my dear man’s relatives mostly are. In fact, he decided to legally disown and disinherited all of them in order to create REAL distance and much needed security for us. I joke that if not for the few decent and well educated distant cousins from his side that I have grown to love and admire, I would believe my husband was adopted – he being so much better than and uniquely different than his immediate biological family members. Happily, I have given him the family he always dreamed of, desired and deserved on account of his REAL goodness. The level of decency and unbounded generosity I have seen my husband demonstrate over our years together has astonished me – always eager to help and share with those in our REAL family and what we consider “extended family” – they are our dear, REALLY loyal and always devoted to us, friends and colleagues. Why even those in our employ are something we agree as being needed to be paid and benefited generously; my husband  like my own beloved late Father, always anxious to include those who service us well in that group we show kindness toward.

Unfortunately, as with many of my husband’s fine character, some thought his patient largess meant weakness  Oh my, were they surprised when my husband insisted on and pursued lawsuits and law enforcement investigations against those nemesis I often reference in my blog posts. Odd is the fact that these loathsome creatures seem a bit confused – thinking it me singularly determined to defeat their evil deeds. Of course, as I am a Jew and my husband Catholic – these antisemitic losers expressed that as explanation. Almost a compliment that they seem to also think me a female  Svengali  –  quite hilarious actually if you know my strong willed husband. Still I admit he and I have a REAL unified partnership – biblical in that we “forsake all others” for our marriage – our union as husband and wife a most serious foremost presence in our lives status. No man nor woman can ever put us asunder. Husband and I have each been the others savior and hero  …  taking turns as needed to rescue and defend against all enemies the other. G-d must have found REAL favor in bringing us together and we are both filled with daily REAL gratitude for that happenstance.

My apology for again having to remain limited in sharing all the REAL and full and very interesting facts of our meeting and life together. The soon to be filled lawsuits, ongoing law enforcement investigations against/of our nemesis – plus my book contractual obligations prevent my anxious to tell psyche from detailing further just now. You must trust me that ours is an amazing and glorious story – filled with definite OMG moments. Most close friends and advisers belly laugh, guffaw and sit in rapt attention as they learn of our REAL life narrative and assist us in establishing our abundantly blessed future. Suffice it to say – our REAL love story will make a great book and, if rumor is true, a worth seeing film. For now, may I not so humbly suggest that you avail yourself of my life partner’s blog –  http://mikeeliasz.wordpress.com. You can thank me later!!!

P.S. Happy & Blessed Birthday dear husband … I give thanks to G-d for your presence on Earth, here with me and remain eternally grateful that you choose me to be your wife. Wishing you many, many more years of life – then eternal bliss in shared union with me!!!

Israel @65

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Israel_65A celebration of the birthing a nation – modern day Israel is celebrating 65 miraculous, amazing and gloried years. 2013 or 5773 (Hebrew) denotes a prospering and ever more world important Middle East country … no longer simply the homeland of my Jewish people, Israel is a tech center, arts venue, education mecca and vacation destination for all people. All who visit come away astonished at the level of sophistication that Israel presents – magnificent is the only apt description of this tiny and strong willed country. No one should think it naive when I state Israel strong now and forever … it is determined by G-d and assured by men and women who will not let Israel go asunder – we, the Jewish people of this world and those who support us will NEVER let Israel vanish from this world. You must visit – you too – no matter faith or national origin, will come way awe struck and in love with my proud ancestral homeland.

Without the obvious considerations – the facts of Israel being the homeland for my religion and ancestral heritage of Judaism – one must marvel at the social and economic growth of this REAL democracy during its short 65 year existence. Israel is not singularly a place for nor of one particular culture – yes, it is our Jewish homeland but many faiths, ethnicity and national origin people live and prosper there. Israel is a true international place … the business and financial aspects are multi national and welcoming. Scientific research, technological development  and academic scholarship nearly unprecedented. Education always foremost in Jewish life, is a mainstay of everyday life in Israel … no matter the surrounding stresses, the population adheres to high education standards and this, along with research and development in areas of science has produced unequaled major medical and world changing/life saving break through treatments. Stunning is the only superlative that correctly denotes the absolute abundance of progress in this small and most days besieged nation – where else and when else in history has such evidence of G-d’s REAL blessings been demonstrated. A miracle?  – perhaps but also a fierce and directed sense of righteous  placement and intrinsic knowing that this is as it should be allows for such accomplishments.

I love the idea of eclecticism – many of my blog posts have referenced my own family and individual life as being just that. Not surprising to me that Israel is that too – a multiple faceted and many disciplined nation. Art, fashion, science, technology, ecology, education, medicine,  religion,  travel,  music,  agriculture,  food,  entertainment,  textiles, architecture,  politics,  charity,  international involvement,   etc.,  etc.,  etc.  –  exhausting and dizzying but REAL and true as a description of all Israel does and offers. I am aware of sounding prideful – why not I ask – for is not this a place to boast of? The issue more important to discuss is why all REALLY good people do not see this as a blessed template from which all nations can learn – glean lessons? Israel should be studied and mimicked – for if we/they can survive and rally to such accomplished heights despite surrounded by sworn enemies, then why not others? Herein lies one of my constant refrains – if you read me regularly or know me personally, then you are aware of my personal gloried story of rallying and overcoming much – my thwarting of naysayers and defeating of nemesis only to REALLY have it all. Yet I, as Israel, remain vigilant and humble – always acknowledging those that assisted and made possible achievements from which I benefit greatly. Israel owes great debt to the United States but it is a mutually benefactor relationship and no one need think that anything less than synopsis between the two rules the day.

In my memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! I will share some of my 14 trips to Israel details – my plans to have a property there some day and why I was born on account of Israel being too. For now I say, HAPPY & BLESSED Birthday Israel … I REALLY LOVE YOU!!!

Stealing Freedom!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

TearsAll politics is local!” is an old and often used adage. Similarly I say all attempts to steal another’s freedom – no matter where nor who is the thievery thug, is local and for me REALLY personal. As a Jewish American woman – from a multiple faith and ethnic background – I REALLY know what having others want to steal my freedom feels like.  Surely if you read my blog regularly and definitely if you know me personally, you are quite aware of my and my dear husband’s battle against those we titled The Miscreants™; trust me that it is not a stretch of logic to think these loathsome individuals made a concerted effort to steal my and my REAL family’s freedom. On Monday, 15 April 2013, in the great American city of Boston, a criminal stole freedom from runners in a Marathon – by exploding bombs, killing and injuring regular people, some loathsome bastard took away the right to just dwell herein G-d’s world unencumbered by fear. At least that was the goal as I see it – no different at all than what many of us face from personal enemies. As I learned of the Boston Marathon tragedy, not only as a runner but as a woman now unfortunately sophisticated on the art of perceiving correctly REAL evil – I had a visceral reaction and a intrinsic feeling of knowing what was at play. The most simplistic analysis of this, 9/11, antisemitic/anti-Israel attackers, other human perpetrated atrocities, the civil/criminal activities by my and my husband’s enemies, etc. is based on one and only one motivation – all are a G-dless and evil person wanting to steal others freedom.

Freedom thieves have a standard operating procedure more similar than not in motive and style. Despite differences in locale, relationship or situation – all who act in concerted efforts to deny others rights do so from a place of delusional and envy based hate. Only a self deluded and deeply unhappy person would use effort and energy to work toward having another lessened on account of some ill perceived idea. Call it prejudice or ignorance – no matter the description remains the same in that one hell bent on silencing others, is singularly evil and unstable. For why else would anyone give time and energy – as the members of my husband/mine nemesis, THE REAL Evil Doers Club™, did by attempting to steal our rightful voice and more physically tangible items. In my personal scenario the thieves decided to suggest and insist that my husband and I should only do and live as they wished – with their ill informed and ignorant of REAL facts prescribed style. Despite the reality presented these loathsome creatures, they continued to lie and imagine untruths about us and themselves. Surely a sign of mental health instability and in some circumstances, pure evil intentions. As my husband detailed in a letter to his ex-wife’s attorney, we keep a very specific and REAL timeline – all documents and evidence saved as proof of the reality of how and when the freedom thieves began attacks against us. You see those like my nemesis are dependent on a confused narrative to cover their evil deeds – it takes REAL strength and determination like that my husband, myself and those supporting us have to be consciously active in detailing the evidence. Why is this relevant or important – I tell you it is because knowing the reality and having that to show the world gives basic substantiated guidelines to your REAL life story and needed battle strategy against the usurpers. I want you all to know that neither myself nor my husband even cared enough about our sworn enemies to address their existence … as terrorist do, so did they in attempting – no make that insisting they dictate by harassment our life plan. My confidence that many of you have similar stories and my absolutely studied knowledge that those who attack groups they oppose is the same as my personal dealings, allows me to feel comfortable making the comparison without concern of being vitriolic in my writing here.

You might be thinking that my reach has gone too far in comparative suggestion that terrorist and my personal enemies are similar … not at all I assure you in that both use illogically conceived notions and  purely prejudicial philosophies to attempt bullying style subjugation. The tonality and inference on social media that my husband and I fought – those working on our behalf legally are pursuing – are no different than that which the enemies of all REALLY free peoples promote as their reasoning. Yes, again I must remain limited in sharing details with you my dear readers – soon to be [finally] filed civil lawsuits and law enforcement [possibly soon ending] criminal investigations still in play plus my contractual book deal for my memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! deny me full voice just now. The most important REAL fact that I can express now – here – today is you MUST never allow another’s lie filled narrative to deny you freedom or make you fearful. The thing to do is – as my husband and I have done –  surround yourself with REALLY good people and fight with determination to stop at every turn the freedom thieves. The saying “living well is the best revenge” is nuanced in these situations; we are living extremely well but more important is that we have REAL love and REALLY decent individuals in our life – too many to list here – those that have worked tirelessly to assist us and promote issues on our behalf. I am not naive – I fully know that some of what I advise is more easily said than done and yes a bit of my gloried outcome has been on account of shear luck – being born energetic, meeting and knowing the right people to help, coming into the means to live well, etc.. Still another part is based on REAL willpower and definitely a believe in G-d.

As we mourn those killed in Boston and pray for the well being of those injured – I ask you all to be stern and committed in the REAL war against freedom thieves. No matter if these loathsome creatures attempt to deny you rights personally, professionally or as a nation – they MUST not win and each of us by being REALLY honest about our life story can thwart those who falsely believe that their bastardized narrative can defeat any of us. REAL proof that my husband, I and those advising/supporting us are triumphant is this – we have not been marginalized – we are still on social media in multiple venues but our nemesis seem to have – well shall we say, “gone missing” on such sites. Now tell me – who do you think has REAL  truth and justice on their side … obviously myself and husband in that we fear nothing about our story and as such remain open for all the world to see.. May G-d bless America, Israel and ALL who REALLY love freedom!!!

A Sporting Woman!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Sporting woman blog post “But your Jewish!” said my dear, devoted and always helpful Italian-American housekeeper after greeting me as I returned from my fly-fishing weekend a few months after my first husband, David Colin passed away Spring 2001. Certainly nowhere near being antisemitic, I knew that Anita, like many thought it odd that I golf, play tennis, sail, and fly-fish – among other sports activities. Why is this odd? Well sadly and definitely erroneous are the preconceived notion that we well coiffed Jewish ladies do not engage in such strenuous activities. At least that is what I have gathered over the years, as others react more or less the same to my multiple physical athletic pursuits. Truth be told many – no make that most of my ilk do indeed go out for many exercise and physical type pursuits – school team sports only the beginning for my and others life long regiments. There are the wonderful example of Israeli women  – the beautiful, strong and athletic Sabras – serving their beloved nation in armed service obligations. So the question goes begging – why not fly-fish, sail, golf, play tennis, hike, swim, ride horses, etc., etc., etc.??? The answer is of course there is no REAL reason and damn it – I have and still do it all … maybe not always well nor at once but still with REAL heart, determination and joy!

I am a lessons – school for all things type of athlete. Whether in primary, high school, college or private – classes and lessons were an important part of my athletic tutorial. I believe in training and guidance from experts. Blessed to have parents who taught me being the best was not as nearly important as the participation in both team and individual sports activities. My very wise Mother was fond of explaining that maybe the Olympics nor a professional sports career was in my future but the joy of doing and the life long physical benefits were in my reach. So it went … family fishing – which by the way included my dear Father having a custom made child size rod placed in my 5 year old hand; swimming and such. School team sports a must and then the endless lessons began. No surprise that there were the little girl and onward dance lessons, gymnastics, swimming classes and bikes, bikes, bikes – followed by tennis, horse back riding that followed in my teen years. I began serious running and jogging at around 19 years old and to this day can not ever imagine giving that activity up – seeing myself as that 8o year old [G-d willing] taking 8 or 10 hours to finish a half marathon perhaps. Then in college I decided to take up golf – even took classes at my undergraduate Alma Mater, Temple University. Proud to say I reached intermediate levels in both tennis and golf within a few years of beginning those activities but alas, realized even though wanting and still participating  no desire to reach higher levels in either were in my plans. Once married in my twenties – I joined my sail boat owning first husband in that awe inspiring activity; yes I am certified to sail but I tell all who venture off shore with me to be sure others on our boat more readily able than I could ever hope to be. I have worked out at gyms – including well equipped home set ups for over 35 years [lifted weights, have done aerobics and machines of all sorts]; I do daily yoga and even pregnant do no less than a five day multiple disciplined/combined weekly routine – in past and now soon again with a personal trainer.  So you see – there was and is a very REAL part of my life that holds as important the sporting life and no matter little done or obsessively involved, I will and insist my children always include the glory and benefit of sports, exercise and the physical life.

Now there is another non standard chick part of my “sporting life” – that is I REALLY love football, baseball, basketball and soccer. Even Lacrosse is on my list of well viewed possibilities. I will watch and attend both as many as possible college and professional venues. All Olympics are on my MUST absolutely watch, read and discuss “to do” life list. I was at a few Olympics games and will go again. Not even liking television has never stop me from rearranging my very hectic schedule to watch those world iconic events. Odd I think not – I love sports and I am not to be denied on account of my gender. The history of women in sports and athletics is legendary. It is offensive and quite ignorant for anyone to find it REALLY unique that a woman like me – any woman – is rare to love the physical and competitive life that sports provides. Little known and not discussed enough are the female participators, purveyors and promoters of sports. Surely you have already guessed that I am going to educate you on that history. Here goes:

The Treatsye on Flysshynge with an Angle (1496) within the book of Saint Albans is attributed to Dame Juliana Berners … as such the first known book on the sport of fly-fishing is attributed to a woman. This fascinating woman was many things during her quite interesting life – besides fly fishing, she hunted, was a nun and writer. Mary Queen of Scots has been called “Mother of Golf” – her  reference to a “mashie niblick” in a golf log is well known and oft quoted. This historical fact made more interesting on account of the iconic St. Andrews Golf Club being men only membership and when I visited this amazing sports club in Scotland during the 1990’s I pledged playing there one day … still a hope of mine. For women in America it was 1874 when Mary Owen Outerbridge discovered lawn tennis while vacationing in Bermuda where the English had exported it to along with much else. Surely females joined in when the Kings of France played – beginning with the Court of Louis X – in the 12th century … their “jeu de pume” or game of the palm was a must do for all the privileged class. There are notes to suggest the Henry Tudor – King of England and his ill fated wife Anne Boleyn played tennis both together and separately. But not until 1887 in my beloved hometown and still part time residence of Philadelphia where women were first officially playing in tennis tournaments. It must be noted that currently there are still prejudicial status for women in Sports – for instance the Golf Masters excludes women golfers; just this week the teenage young man, Chinese citizen, Guan ranked well and yet that nation’s girl golf students could not even consider entry. Well now, that is REAL proof that we of the female gender are still being marginalized in the Sports arena to some extent. Happily professional women athletes are coming into their won with endorsements and public notice … hopefully the collegiate possibilities will also increase soon.

I have been so blessed – even in the area of sports. My first amazing and very accomplished father-in-law, The Colonel, was also a senior citizen award winning ranked tennis player. Through him I met the late Arthur Ashe, John McEnroe and other iconic players. Still in my home are his trophies and awarded mementos.  I am proud to say and love visiting the Newport Tennis Hall of Fame, where this dear man is remembered.

There are more amazing REAL life sports loves in my life – more about my many memberships plans, like the  Golf Divas  in my memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life. What I do want to conclude with here is how my second husband who loved bike marathons and hiking as his primary exercise obsession  took to running during our quite short three month courtship in preparation for our marriage – yes indeed, my honey wanted to be able to run with his new bride – sweet I am sure you will agree!!!
