REAL Voodoo Threats!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

VoodooHighwayWell now, my REALLY interesting and often OMG blessed life has once again had a unique occurrence … troubling indeed is that one of The Miscreants™ has made a Facebook threat of causing me harm via a voodoo doll. Yes you read it correctly, this Michigan nurse miscreant on a budget trip to New Orleans this week bragged and made conspiratorial the plan and effort in choosing and purchasing just such an item in order to hurt me in a deliberate and painful manner. We – myself, my husband and REAL advisers, along with apparently law enforcement that we immediately contacted – take such threats quite seriously and well they should. You see considering the REAL history and documented proof of slander, defamation, harassment, stalking, criminal vandalism, lies, deceit and more that my nemesis are already considered to be proven guilty of, such pointed and detailed social media threats are to be taken in nothing less than earnest and solemn directiveness.

Oh of course those my readers are surely now familiar with and my personal associates all too aware of as troublesome and dangerous, will claim mere attempt at humor in their vulgar Facebook voodoo doll purchase and “friend” planned attack on me. Those of you privy to my situation know differently … just think of the REAL criminal 2003 vandalism of my husband’s home [we met and married a few short months later] by his ex wife’s three teenage children. In addition that woman is a long time member and devotee of what has been deemed a “cult” and that has been written about and taken to court in Los Angeles for threats of violence and intimidation of perceived enemies. Other factors are my husband’s ex wife’s now twenty something son having been hospitalized for mental health illness as a teen, sentenced to community service as punishment for violent threats in high school and his wishing my husband dead during a phone call when applying for college – seeking more assistance than that which was already agreed to toward his education. My husband’s now legally disowned and disinherited “brother” is believed to be the voice on a threatening voice recording at our previous home. The “friends” Michigan cohort male stalked and harassed as well as threatened me [some of a sexual nature] on Facebook. The entire group vacationed together in a admitted singular attempt to intimidate me by posting Facebook photos of a suggestive and pointed manner to harm me in nature.  Add to this my attorney sending the one individual a multi-page letter detailing the possible – some criminal charges he and others might be facing and this person mocking and suggesting he used it for “kindle fire“. These are only a few of the miscreants cohorts activities – REAL and tangible reasons to be legitimately fearful of all their proclamations of harm to myself and my family. The list goes on and on – investigations been years in the doing and winding up shortly to proceed with civil lawsuits and possible criminal prosecutions.

So you see despite nurse miscreant feeble attempt to delineate the REALLY obvious and now well documented voodoo doll threats against me, as the law clearly infers – that in concordance wit her and her cohorts previous patterns of behavior, this latest threat is being considered more reason for continuing the investigation. Narrative is everything in jurist prudence my friends – that, along with my REAL fear, prompted us to call the NOLA police when seeing the vulgar and specific and quite graphic [one saying to make sure skin of voodoo doll not too tough as to be able to stick pins in and that my husband’s criminal ex-wife “liking” this FB post, etc., etc.] threats. Other authorities [Michigan and Pennsylvania] already involved in ongoing investigations were notified … here it is important to REALLY understand that all took very seriously this situation as they know and are REALLY concerned about the totality. A serendipitous consequence arose when my previous conversations with the Michigan ADL resulted in them calling me this past Monday to discuss the ongoing antisemitic threats from the miscreants I have been dealing with – this allowing me to add into the concern this recent NOLA happening. They, like all others supporting me, were appropriately appalled [we will be pursuing together righting this prejudicial wrong against myself as a Jew and other so unfairly maligned in Michigan – working with the District Attorney there and my speaking on my book tour at the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit].

Look reader darlings … Haitian Vodou is a serious religion for some individuals and one of the Michigan miscreants claims to have traveled there in her usual faux posturing charity [more on that in my previous essay Faux Charitable Acts!, 28 January 2013] excursions. Well – this can quite readily be made to appear before public and jury as yet another joined effort to harm myself and my family- not unreasonable you surely will agree? These supposed Christians so enthusiastically gathering research and effort to attack me with a voodoo doll frightening and another “slippery slope” scenario that any reasonable person would find troublesome. For now – the vigilance and monitoring will go on … we have NEVER written nor suggested other than 100% legal reproach and defense against my nemesis miscreants; whereas their social media and other pronouncements have been harsh, threatening, defamatory and much more. My husband and I are unable to share all our REAL family photos, home pictures, etc. out of REAL fear for our safety – documents are sealed, locales made private -the list of preventive measures needed in light of the REAL and present danger from these loathsome persons shock and appall all involved. We will prevail and make REAL [as I discussed with Michigan ADL] a new verisimilitude for everyone that has dealt with threats like those voodoo doll fans are guilty of – my REAL story will make safe the world for others so burdened … this is out of such evil will come to a happy justice now one of  my goal!!!

P.S. In my memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! and more detailed, Life Journey of Heiress Mommy so much will be made REALLY clear – many things through legal documents and files will help my readers [G-d willing] navigate through their own miscreants experience … a hope and prayer that my legacy will include comfort and support of others!

Note: This is an update to above blog essay. On Halloween 31 October 2013, one of the oft referenced Michigan miscreants posted a small backyard “house” with witch facsimile under as if from their joined favorite film, Wizard of Oz. The usual thinly veiled insinuation to me were plentiful and then my husband’s ex-wife [the “cult” member referenced above] made clear she and they wished for my demise by having a house fall on me – there was no equivocation as to what was intended … my Attorney was immediately notified, as he monitors these things due to the REAL danger myself and my family have been placed in and of course, law enforcement will be as well. So you see my dear readers that my concerns are NOT hyperbole – stay tuned – we are safe and secure but ask for your prayers!

Update: A very serious threat occurred in the last few days – since this blog essay was shared with you dear readers. The male Michigan – considered by myself, husband, attorney and law enforcement to be in the category of stalker, posted a article and comment on his Facebook page stating that no one should think nor feel SECURE that they can not be tracked to their location via Tweets/Twitter comments. This person feigned flying from Michigan to my [1] place of residence in Pennsylvania and lied about meeting with persons he would never have access to and that he was staying at places familiar to me – also my investigators believe to be a lie but none the less his effort to intimidate. There is so much more – now in hands of law enforcement, investigators and being used in preparation for soon to be filed lawsuits and hopefully prosecution of this person. My support team immediately went into action for discovery of what exactly he and his cohorts thought they knew as far as my and my family whereabouts … my husband being a REAL computer genius and, along with my attorney and REAL security advisers have already made sure that no locator finds other than our new offices and never where we live … more on that in my books. Additionally the level of security we have – including cameras and alarms – make us safe beyond any risk. Still we had additional security requested immediately and installed within hours. So you see none of what I suggest as reason for fear from The Miscreants™ and their cohorts is without reason or factual basis!!!

Doggie Paradise on the Main Line!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

JavaWaterPoloYou’ve got all the arrogance of your class, haven’t you?” says the Jimmy Stewart character to Tracey Lord, played by Katherine Hepburn in the 1940 film The Philadelphia Story. That says it all about my hometown of Philadelphia famous Main Line area. REAL historical class defines the atmosphere of our spectacular suburb that was simply named that because the railroad’s main line ran through it. Wealthy folks did and still do reside there, as well as the professionals and others who seek to dwell within the quaint and pleasant atmosphere. As Miss Lord later explains REAL class is not defined  by money or property but style, decency and love. Still being elite has its place ,,, even for our sweet pets, Elite no more than a place and attitude that benefits its participants and that is where our dear canine Princess Java Argus retreats, has vacations and is REALLY well cared for – it is The Wagsworth Manor.

I know what you must be  thinking – just another expensive place to pamper pooch. You are wrong my darlings for Wagsworth Manor provides a healthy and safe home away for our beloved pets – they offer the usual bath, grooming, play and swim time but more important are their concerns for health and well being of the animals in their care. Full service to say the least is what you can expect from this amazing facility – as much a family as your own to care for your beloved companion, No medical issue left unattended nor safety situation not addressed for the pets boarding there. The day care a G-d sent for busy folks and the overnight or even long stay a REAL blessing considering the confidence such a place provides devoted pet owners.

Speaking of owners – well now, Wagsworth Manor takes REALLY good care of us too. Oh yes, they take my many calls, send hubby and I updates via emails and even include almost daily pictures of the mighty Java swimming and such. Trust me that if they tolerate a Jewish Mother like myself, they are pros at human interactions as much as animal relationships. Important that I tell you how REALLY amazing those who work there are … especially compassionate and cooperative when a family needs to leave their pets during babies being born, moves or even more upsetting times families deal with. For all these reasons myself and  my husband have found it necessary to have our Java be pampered like the Princess she REALLY is at Wagsworth Manor;  We have celebrated births, moves, trips, holidays, events and needing to have our pet in a safe place as we dealt with unseemly types in a way that would not have been easy without  a place like Wagsworth Manor being available. My family has advantages and blessings that make travel with our pets often possible and still there are those times when the knowledge that people who REALLY will care about our canine’s well being exist make our tasks possible.

No hyperbole – only REAL gratitude, appreciation and admiration from my family when asked about the place we allow to look after our beautiful Labrador, As we contemplate expanding our family even more – no matter what other States we decide to include as home, Wagsworth Manor will always be our first choice for Princess Java Argus and the other pets we plan to add to the Eliasz-Solomon realm!

P.S. In my memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! and following expanded biographical story Life Journey of Heiress Mommy many heartfelt details of how exactly our dear Princess Java Argus comforted and protected our family will be shared … trust me when I tell you there are REAL surprises in this story. Now go call Wagsworth Manor – take a tour and as everyone who goes there proclaims, “Can people stay here too?”, so will you. By the way, you can thank me later!

Vacationing Reprobates

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Reprobates_-_Stress-EPrep·ro·bate  (rpr-bt)

n.

1. A morally unprincipled person.
2. One who is predestined to damnation.

adj.

1. Morally unprincipled; shameless.
2. Rejected by God and without hope of salvation
♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦
The gathering of evil – the coming together by the singularity of hate, jealous envy and thievery – all and more represents those who only joined together from their shared lesser status to those they misrepresent. Such strikingly harsh tonality Tereza, you must be thinking. Not at all my dear readers … proven true by REAL facts and timelines, documentation and affidavit the creatures to be disdained and one might even say pitied have forged a truly unholy bond. Not unique I am afraid you must know – just read the history books to find other evil doers whose sole impetus was hate toward a more accomplished fellow. Interesting is that they seem amnesiac or delusional in forgetting the REAL and true time involvement and source verification that attest to their [at least for 3 I specifically reference here] hatred of one another … no REAL contact between the others as well – no indeed not until they joined together in a obvious pathological unity against that which made them nearly insane with angst.
The legality of gatherings where previous threats, slander, defamation and harassment have occurred entitles their victim to watchfulness … the question obvious is why the reprobates have chosen to bond in venue removed from their day to day dwellings. No “oh you are making far too much of these loser types taking a budget vacation together” will not REALLY suffice in light of cult activity for one, criminal vandalism of her offspring, posed and suggestive stalking by another, etc., etc., etc.. Add to this factor the constant overreach and ” thou think they protest too much” display of family, marriage and children certainly not nearly admirable in REAL terms. Well now, many have suggested serious mental health issues at play in this unseemly narrative.
The REAL reward for those that caused the reprobates to gather is truth and knowledge that these creatures seek only the the most “middle of middle” status, achievements and acquaintanceship. They are and will remain insulated in their origins and fellowship – never to be elevated nor a powerful force in this world. The simple faux attempts at grandeur or good deeds no more than a faint poseur accomplishment. As one dear attorney friend commented years ago as no offense to be taken but mere reality stated: “Who are these legally disowned/disinherited and shameful persons now choosing to associate with of any REAL worth or value – no one the obvious answer”. So yes I am being intentionally vague – oh not REALLY for those who read my regularly and surely those who know me personally are aware and informed me often, in full agreement, must realize who it is that  I accurately describe as reprobates. These loathsome types guise in communities as acceptable frequently for they have hidden their own REAL life narrative and somehow delude themselves into a comfort of pretense are in all our lives; I tell you to do as my husband and I have chosen – fight back, do not retreat or fear the lie tellers and the pretenders for your story I assure you is no less respectable and probably even more so, than these the REAL enemies of truth!

P.S. In my soon book Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! and follow up  Life Journey of Heiress Mommy all the REAL and very detailed true facts + documentation that will inform and enlighten the readers about my life exposure to disgusting reprobates, as well as G-d willing, offer tutorial that might spare you or at least help protect you from these horrors!

My Time In Egypt

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

20130707-112647.jpg
New Years Eve, 31 December 1980, found me and my first husband, David,  in Egypt – on our honeymoon and just having left Israel after three weeks. Not just any usual or routine sight seeing – no indeed as we were there as special guest to celebrate the Israeli-Egypt Peace Treaty that had been ceremoniously signed by Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar El Sadat in Washington, D.C. 26 March 1979. Welcomed as an American and Jew to the newly and soon to be turned over fully from Israel to Egypt Sinai was both a privileged and unique position to be in during those halcyon days filled with promise of shared interest between the two nations. What followed was the horror of Sadat’s 1981 assassination and still his replacement Mubarak allowed a stable continuance for the peace with Israel and relationship with America as a status quo acceptable while not perfect. Having been to the region more than a dozen times I was aware of what could be described to be a saturnine nod in light of underlying discontent in Arab nations – so there was fallibility in the precept of Western nations faux surprise when the so called Arab Spring erupted in 2010.

My minority voiced opinion that the Arab Spring was not the championed revolution that is glorified by American ideals of liberty left me marginalized and often criticized. Not supportive of dictatorships in any form and yet with my real life experiences in that area of the world, sadly informed by scholarship and observation that swiftness would leave dangerous voids and not the perfected people’s constitutionality style rule morphed from established democracy type governments as the United States. And so it was the the first democratic election in Egypt found the Muslim Brotherhood  in charge – obviously I feared extremism against Israel but was more convinced that the difficult day to day necessitated governing aspects of utilities, jobs and such would not be fulfilled by a theocratic administration. I think the same for all nations including America where religious extremist Christians attempt through elections and legislation directorial powers over civil matters.

The only successful route to prosperity and away from chaotic anarchy is a secular government that protects all the people – all the religions, ethnic groups and nationalities that dwell within its borders.Too often the focused religiosity of any otherwise fairly chosen leadership dilutes asset and concentration on the day to day needs of the people. Hence and this past week Egypt had a military coup d’etat and now may possibly be facing an internal civil war of Islamist extremist against the rest of its population. Stability must be maintained in that nation and all others – so yes, I do find myself both as an American and as a Zionist Jew hopeful that the military now overseeing Egypt will be fair in guiding that important Middle East country toward REAL Democracy – its secular history and magnificence of ancient world importance begs for our wanting this for them no matter where in this world one resides.

P.S. In my year (2013) end book, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! and follow up life journey Summer 2014 book there will be what I hope is an interesting description of why my pride in being an American Jewish Zionist includes affection and gratitude for my Mother’s Albanian Muslim ancestry as well!

Running For Roses

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Kentucky derby blog 2013On Saturday, 4 May 2013, the running of the 139th Kentucky Derby takes place.  It has a unique unbroken, continually occurring, without pause place in history since 1875. This iconic REAL American event denotes a flavored venue known around the world. Yes the magnificence of horses being bred, raised and raced to glory is the main spectacle at hand but equal is the social and style aspects surrounding this annual event. There are hats and parties galore but there is REAL history to be understood and admired. Not many know that this sports event was birthed by the idea of Colonel Meriwether Lewis Clark,Jr., grandson  of Lewis & Clark expedition fame. This offspring of the hero explorer having been exposed to the beauty of such races in Europe returned to Kentucky to forge our own U.,S.A. quality and world admiring worthy club organization that produced the Derby. Born and bred on American soil is this often called “the fastest two minutes in Sports“. Some might think it frivolous to attend or watch with rapt attention a horse race when so many serious and pressing problems face humanity. I say not at all – for is not the defining of a culture that which lifts us to be better and accomplished? There is more here to consider … so go fetch your mint julep and indulge me by reading my viewpoint on why we as a people REALLY need to embrace a “running for the roses“.

The history of the Kentucky Derby mirrors in many ways the trajectory of this nation … prosperous at times and other years resigned to the limitations of financial downturns, wars and other current events. Still like the country it resides in, this race persevered in spite of the odds. The American dream at play is obvious here – fortunes gained and lost in a flash, attitude of overcoming and achieving in the face of adversity and REAL true grit that makes day after day of hard work acceptable is evident at Churchill Downs. There are owners wealthy and others who took a chance on an otherwise dismissed horse. Jockeys famous and those who are novices or even considered no longer REAL talent have all rallied to win. Surprises abound – sure bets failed, while the never going to win choices go onto come in big time. No question that lives are altered forever when the finish line is crossed at the Derby and this is both the lure and definition of gravitas. Taking chances to win it all or come back to try another day is so REALLY American and definitely horse racing mantra.

Of course, being a feminist I am thrilled when a filly is in the race and particularly pleased when the rare female jockey leaves the gate riding toward that rose necklace. See my dear readers – even here gender matters. The excitement and the pathos all combine to make Kentucky Derby time a REALLY inclusive happening. Yes there are the good seats, called “Millionaire’s Row” where the well heeled get to pay much and watch in grand surrounding. All dressed in couture with the most lavish hats. Yet all there – no matter status feel welcomed and worthy of attending. Democratic for sure is the tone of sports in America … no different at the Derby. In my year end (2013) memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life!, along with other “so glad I got to go” life events, will be details of my twice attending the Derby, plus my plan to return in the next few years with children and hubby happily along. Who knows – maybe there will even be an Heiress Mommy filly running for the roses too!

What Detroit SHOULD Learn From Philadelphia!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Detroit

I was shown a Twitter comment a few days ago suggesting that places like New York were “overrated” and so that Michigan born individual suggested that it was best to head back to Detroit. Why yes – that is if you are going to do as the late Tony Goldman did and now his daughter … that is to REALLY address and not faux champion the problems in that once iconic Michigan city. Recently (April 2013) at the inaugural meeting of Project for Public Spaces at Westin Book Cadillac, downtown Detroit investor, Dan Gilbert and now CEO, Jessica Gold Srebnick , seemed posed to offer that REAL dedication to the basic and core history – one might say flavor – of this Midwestern city. What was discussed in needing to be foremost in any redevelopment plans was the creative and herculean effort such an under taking requires. May I add that it seems quite obvious the fawning influx of middle class young suburbanites and surely temporary inner city Detroit residents is NOT the solution. Like my beloved hometown of Philadelphia, like New York City and Miami – you need REAL devotees of a place in order to save and then grow that community. Love I tell you is not only the answer for a personal life but REAL love is needed to save a city and to make it blossom.

Location,  location, location is the well known mantra used as instruction when one buys a home or starts a business and it is also the geographical dictate that often helps decide the destiny of a city, town or community. Some places like the historical city of Philadelphia lucked out by having itself center East Coast – near to the world’s REAL capital, New York City, close to this nation’s government center, Washington, D.C. and easy travel launch to the rest of the world. Both New York City and Philadelphia are blessed to be the center for a ring of REAL thriving neighborhoods – middle and working class boroughs and suburbs are logistically attached through public transportation and even decent highway, bridges, and tunnels. Add the plethora of universities, medical centers, major companies, art/entertainment venues and such – these two cities thrive where places like Detroit can never hope to in just the commerce and activity quotient alone. However, not only location make these East Coast cities more stable than its Michigan poor cousin – no, it is also the REAL strength of diversity from nationalities, ethnic groups, races, social economic levels that forge a stronger and more resilient platform for sustained growth. Not always peacefully coexisting to be sure but still interacting and hence interdependent are the varied demographics of places like NYC, Philadelphia, Boston and Miami. You know the reality is – in it together for better or worse – what forces these historically prominent places to go the distance and make things work no matter the obstacles.

Oh baby, hard work is certainly part and parcel of making a city be relevant and vibrant. Government and civic oversight a must in development and sustaining of our nation’s oldest cities. My own family and many friends were and still are at the forefront of Philadelphia prospering. The City of Brotherly Love was blessed from G-d to have [for two terms beginning in 1991] as its Mayor, Ed Rendell – he who demanded, cajoled and more the business types into doing the right thing to make the city a destination world class place. In my memoir, Heiress Mommy …  A Modern Super Woman Life! there will be so much to relate my very essence to  the city of my birth, Philadelphia. Almost DNA for me is how distinctly important that city was and is to my family history, successes and narrative.  Not nostalgia as many reminiscence about the “good old days” when Detroit prospered on the determinate factor involved in its being the automobile manufacturing center of the world but instead East Coast cities have morphed and expanded while keeping the respectful denotation of past glories and accomplishments. There is moral imperative in keeping a city center vital despite the suburbanization of its population – not at all different than acknowledging those relatives that went before each generation and by hard work made more success possible for their offspring. I am snobbery to a fault  in thinking but probably correct at the same time in the belief that only a REALLY astute and sophisticated population can overcome narrow minded preoccupation to allow the inclusiveness necessary to work, school and seek entertainment in a heterogeneous city center. Why even the Midwest city of Chicago has despite its center of country locale  managed to sustain a panache – a desirous draw to new and old residence alike. Why then not Detroit? Easy answer for me is that the groups that comprised a thriving motor city at one time just never REALLY worked together in effort to make it better – no, they just segregated to their bedroom communities and dismissed “those people” as the “other“. Come on readers,  you know its true … race relations and prejudice by the less than intellectual and far from progressive white middle class damned that city and still makes it nearly impossible to reconfiguration it into something modern and valuable. My wise husband was born and bred in Michigan – near Detroit and is stunned and very impressed with the difference here on the East Coast; he fell in love with inclusive intellectual awareness that Philadelphia offers its many citizens. In discussions and attempted analysis my husband’s first hand Detroit experiences have allowed him to surmise that the prejudicial and minimal scoped attitude of most suburban Detroit residences has lead to its demise. As I have in other blog posts,  I must mention my own personal awareness and battles with the lesser type bedroom community dwellers from that area: for these strip mall shoppers, it is that despite a few budget trips aboard and for a few a four year State college education or community college for others, they remain narrow minded and destructive. Their kind would never consider helping inner city Detroit minority youths and yet are willing to do an occasional Haiti “mission” in order to get their once in a lifetime photo opportunity. Is it in the water hubby and I often joke? Why here on the East Coast or places like Chicago do even those without benefit of  travel or higher education seem so much more erudite and willing to embrace REAL life possibilities than their similar types in the Detroit area? Is that a matter of location too or could it be the suburb’s ghetto attitude that you are born, live, work, school and die in that place being just fine that which has so limited the possibilities for REAL achievement in Detroit? All or some of these reasons need to be outed, dissected and addressed if ever in the words of Motown great Stevie Wonder there is “living, living just enough for the city” is to happen!

Art as Sports Metaphor or Vice Versa

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

One must always be careful
not to let one’s work be covered with moss.”

Marc Chagall

Art as sportsOne need have eyes to see, heart and soul to feel and an intelligent, open mind to comprehend – this is what I believe both art and sports demand of we the viewer, participant and consumer. Oh my, it has been a few week of horrors here in the United States and in many parts of the world this April 2013 and yet I found bliss in reading articles and attending – making plans and arrangements for coming exhibitions – art venues. Equally comforting was sports – reading about, viewing and definitely in the doing. As this Marc Chagall quotes suggest, we humans must not let the moss cover our work – be that which we create or do each day. Constant vigilance to not becoming complacent must rule the day in the face of all that confronts us and so with both art and sports there lies the chance to play in the game of life. The ancient Greeks produced many works of art that depict sports as a glorified life activity – surely that is a telling instruct that both disciplines elevate the human existence.

I was raised in a very eclectic family … busy, busy, busy bees were we – no  possibilities nor opportunities left to chance. As some of my other blog post explain no matter whether talented or championed in an activity, there was still value in the attempts and enjoyment in pursuit. So too with art and sports – guided toward giving all a try and to never deny ourselves the pleasure just because the struggle might be daunting. As such, I have and insist my children do as well, take full advantage of venues that allow participation and viewing in both the artistic and athletic worlds. In our REAL family and among many friends, careers in the arts have developed. I was fortunate to grow up – have as my best girl friends two sisters, more family in fact, that were talented artist … I was often the younger ones muse and proudly still display in my homes the works that I modeled for as her youthful accomplice. There are cousins who work in the fields of art and many friends who do likewise. Visiting museums all over the world has been one of my life pleasures and my husband and I subscribe to and attend both Sotheby’s and Christie’s auctions regularly. Why list all this for you my dear readers?  My reason is to suggest that like much in life, art is as sports – one needs to receive the pass to enjoy the pitch. Wow – a metaphoric directive indeed but only that which I truly believe important.

Growing up in Philadelphia allowed me to wonder the halls of many museums. In  fact, my previously mentioned young best gal pal and I as young teens made art museums our regular haunts – often we would wonder the floors of well known establishments, like the Philadelphia Art Museum and less famous, smaller off the beaten path places. I fondly remember our pretending to be that or another grand lady or fictional character in accordance with the art displayed and years later this same friend and I spent time in Switzerland and France going museum to museum large and small. A poignant aside is that in our early 20’s it was at this lifelong friend’s Painted Bride Philadelphia Art Show that I met my first [late] husband and of course, both she and her dear now deceased older sister were my bridesmaids less than one year later. My precious friend – a REAL artist who graduated University with Art Degrees and myself, with no such talents, equaled in enjoyment these shared art oriented activities. I believe my being able to do so was on account of being open to receiving that presented. How much of life can be defined by just such a sports metaphor – I think a great deal of what we humans define as missed or denied, is only those things we were not readied for or willing to accept as possibilities in our life. Far too often we hear people say, “Oh I am not good at that!” or  “That is just not for me!” – sad really as that then suggest the purview of much is only for the few.

Thrilling in my life is having the opportunity to go to many art events – well known and obscure, peruse catalogs and shops for purchases. Just as wonderful is going to a sports event – not always understanding either the game nor creation has ever caused a detour from my wanting to be there. No indeed, I feel a rightful place among those more skilled or learned. All should have the same confidence that expertise not a requirement for attendance at any event or occasion. Of course, pretense is not needed either – only simple awareness that all created is open to each of us, as long as respect is observed. I got the idea for this post when reading about and planning to visit exhibits of whom I consider a “life environment” artist, James Turrell. My husband and I hoping one day to have one of his light installation pieces in one of our homes, I decided to set out a plan for us to see one of his soon to be three museum shows. In my research I found him saying that which I always believed true, “Art is a completed pass. You don’t just throw it out into the world – someone has to catch it.“. Thrilling to me how exacting that statement is and not only for art or sports but for every single aspect of REAL living. In my memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! so much of what I hope to have my readers learn is that I REALLY knew how to catch those life opportunities – the passes thrown my way and how others can and should too!

Note: As I am sure my followers/readers have noticed by now, I use REAL and REALLY frequently in my post … that is, of course, deliberate and meant to be a pointed reference – one might say a hint aimed at those I reference so often as my husband and my nemesis. All will be clear in my book and accompanying interviews but for now, please know it is not without REAL reason that I denote much that way!!!

No G-d Bombs!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Bomb blog postOh my G-d …what was that … run, run, run!!!” is some of what people shout as bombs explode as they are targeted by g-dless thugs. Last week it was the Boston Marathon which prompted my writing a post on 16 April 2013, Stealing Freedom! Prior to this here in the U.S. it was NYC 9/11 and before that Oklahoma City in the 1990’s; abroad it has been London, MadridParisIreland, Bosnia and many Middle East and African countries who experience the same horror of being targeted for nothing more than their existence. Constant vigilance is mandated in my ancestral homeland of Israel – there is an awareness that any time of any day a REAL evil doer will take ones life by placing a bomb on a bus, in a building or street corner. Presently the world seems to be little interested in stopping this in Syria – while lip service, threats to the controlling Assad Regime who blames “insidious Western influences” and some small intervention has occurred, no REAL and sustained effort to save Syria from total destruction is taking place. I focus on this particular civil war torn nation – not because theirs is any more egregious in circumstance than others nor because it is just the most current in an all too long list of similar scenarios – the reason I highlight Syria is on account of the poignancy of the sign you see here. When I came across this photo and accompanying text, the words – the plea reminded me of how many times I myself argued over the years that we all must pay head to even those we oppose as they are subjugated to the REALLY g-dless thieves of humanity. Sadly, I have been proven correct in thinking “them today, possibly us tomorrow” and why not as it is a complete lie and misrepresentation that a any religious belief actually promotes a person placing a bomb in order to kill and mane innocent persons. Atheist, agnostic or believer surely agrees that it is 100% a usury protestation by the most evil among us to profess religiosity as reason for such crimes.

War is a two sided occurrence and while yes often disproportionate in framework as one combatant is much more prepared/well equipped than the other, still the exchange is a knowingly reciprocation. Not so with terrorism – those incidents are exactly as the categorization states – pure terror propagated by one person or group against another real or perceived enemy. Never to be tolerated no matter which side of the supposed argument you favor – never because there is no REAL logic and definitely no “G-d and angels are on our side” acceptable reasoning. I am no passivity devotee my dear readers – not in the least way and as such I am a logical and strong willed person who accepts fully the sad fact that armed engagement must often be the means to survival for a people or nation. I even accept the at time targeted demise of leaders, groups and individuals hell bent on annihilation of others. What is never ever acceptable is random and self righteous targeting of communities to demonstrate some faux religious or nationalistic fervor. Why even a one time legitimate government like Syria’s now having its regulation armed forces bomb bakeries so that terror in the form of its citizens not being able to venture out for food poses the undeniable question as to what is the REAL motive at play in this battle? Terrorism for terrorizing sake finds no logic nor excuse in form or action – once the purpose becomes apparently creating an atmosphere of terror is made clear, all other realistic arguments are negated.

Listen folks – I am not shy about admitting that I am an Old Testament/Bible “eye for an eye” tough proactive, protect my rights at all costs type of broad. I nor my equally strong willed husband do not “suffer fools gladly“. But neither of us see this REAL determination to protect ourselves, REAL family, friends and community as a purview into some false idea that we above all others have the right to exist. Our ideal is that we let live, if you let us live … law enforcement, lawsuits and REAL truth is our defense mode – yes it is true that we have decided that full time REAL security is needed in our private and professional life on account of the often referenced in my writing The Miscreants™. Our plan and our recent years actions have been responsive and now proactive but NEVER predatory [even though that was what was done to us]. I bring my story into this post on account of wanting to show REAL connection and understanding to those who might feel the means to their own freedom is to destroy others – at times that might seem to be the only option but destruction of the enemy by path of REAL justice is the only route to the sought realized status all should seek. I am a religious person and my husband equal – my self Jewish, with maternal Muslim ancestral background and my husband a Catholic but neither of us thinks G-d wants us to target those other than the REAL enemies at our gate. Even with all our nemesis are REALLY guilty of – my husband and I have been extremely careful to have our attorneys, investigators and law enforcement pursue the exact individuals involved and not [some also loathsome] peripheral characters. You think me stretching to make the personal more globally relevant … I tell you not at all because my life story is a parallel tale to what some reason as the impetus to do harm. Let me assure you, as my memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! will fully detail, my husband and I rest REALLY well at night as we know G-d has been pleased that no self righteous attitude informed us in his name to defeat our enemies. There is no religious tenets that instruct terrorism as a route to glory … the Boston Marathon crime was no more a Islamist problem, than Oklahoma city bombing was Christian and we must also note that those who kill and mane at clinics that provide pregnancy termination services in the name of their Christ are using G-dless Bombs too!!!

Israel @65

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Israel_65A celebration of the birthing a nation – modern day Israel is celebrating 65 miraculous, amazing and gloried years. 2013 or 5773 (Hebrew) denotes a prospering and ever more world important Middle East country … no longer simply the homeland of my Jewish people, Israel is a tech center, arts venue, education mecca and vacation destination for all people. All who visit come away astonished at the level of sophistication that Israel presents – magnificent is the only apt description of this tiny and strong willed country. No one should think it naive when I state Israel strong now and forever … it is determined by G-d and assured by men and women who will not let Israel go asunder – we, the Jewish people of this world and those who support us will NEVER let Israel vanish from this world. You must visit – you too – no matter faith or national origin, will come way awe struck and in love with my proud ancestral homeland.

Without the obvious considerations – the facts of Israel being the homeland for my religion and ancestral heritage of Judaism – one must marvel at the social and economic growth of this REAL democracy during its short 65 year existence. Israel is not singularly a place for nor of one particular culture – yes, it is our Jewish homeland but many faiths, ethnicity and national origin people live and prosper there. Israel is a true international place … the business and financial aspects are multi national and welcoming. Scientific research, technological development  and academic scholarship nearly unprecedented. Education always foremost in Jewish life, is a mainstay of everyday life in Israel … no matter the surrounding stresses, the population adheres to high education standards and this, along with research and development in areas of science has produced unequaled major medical and world changing/life saving break through treatments. Stunning is the only superlative that correctly denotes the absolute abundance of progress in this small and most days besieged nation – where else and when else in history has such evidence of G-d’s REAL blessings been demonstrated. A miracle?  – perhaps but also a fierce and directed sense of righteous  placement and intrinsic knowing that this is as it should be allows for such accomplishments.

I love the idea of eclecticism – many of my blog posts have referenced my own family and individual life as being just that. Not surprising to me that Israel is that too – a multiple faceted and many disciplined nation. Art, fashion, science, technology, ecology, education, medicine,  religion,  travel,  music,  agriculture,  food,  entertainment,  textiles, architecture,  politics,  charity,  international involvement,   etc.,  etc.,  etc.  –  exhausting and dizzying but REAL and true as a description of all Israel does and offers. I am aware of sounding prideful – why not I ask – for is not this a place to boast of? The issue more important to discuss is why all REALLY good people do not see this as a blessed template from which all nations can learn – glean lessons? Israel should be studied and mimicked – for if we/they can survive and rally to such accomplished heights despite surrounded by sworn enemies, then why not others? Herein lies one of my constant refrains – if you read me regularly or know me personally, then you are aware of my personal gloried story of rallying and overcoming much – my thwarting of naysayers and defeating of nemesis only to REALLY have it all. Yet I, as Israel, remain vigilant and humble – always acknowledging those that assisted and made possible achievements from which I benefit greatly. Israel owes great debt to the United States but it is a mutually benefactor relationship and no one need think that anything less than synopsis between the two rules the day.

In my memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! I will share some of my 14 trips to Israel details – my plans to have a property there some day and why I was born on account of Israel being too. For now I say, HAPPY & BLESSED Birthday Israel … I REALLY LOVE YOU!!!

A Sporting Woman!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Sporting woman blog post “But your Jewish!” said my dear, devoted and always helpful Italian-American housekeeper after greeting me as I returned from my fly-fishing weekend a few months after my first husband, David Colin passed away Spring 2001. Certainly nowhere near being antisemitic, I knew that Anita, like many thought it odd that I golf, play tennis, sail, and fly-fish – among other sports activities. Why is this odd? Well sadly and definitely erroneous are the preconceived notion that we well coiffed Jewish ladies do not engage in such strenuous activities. At least that is what I have gathered over the years, as others react more or less the same to my multiple physical athletic pursuits. Truth be told many – no make that most of my ilk do indeed go out for many exercise and physical type pursuits – school team sports only the beginning for my and others life long regiments. There are the wonderful example of Israeli women  – the beautiful, strong and athletic Sabras – serving their beloved nation in armed service obligations. So the question goes begging – why not fly-fish, sail, golf, play tennis, hike, swim, ride horses, etc., etc., etc.??? The answer is of course there is no REAL reason and damn it – I have and still do it all … maybe not always well nor at once but still with REAL heart, determination and joy!

I am a lessons – school for all things type of athlete. Whether in primary, high school, college or private – classes and lessons were an important part of my athletic tutorial. I believe in training and guidance from experts. Blessed to have parents who taught me being the best was not as nearly important as the participation in both team and individual sports activities. My very wise Mother was fond of explaining that maybe the Olympics nor a professional sports career was in my future but the joy of doing and the life long physical benefits were in my reach. So it went … family fishing – which by the way included my dear Father having a custom made child size rod placed in my 5 year old hand; swimming and such. School team sports a must and then the endless lessons began. No surprise that there were the little girl and onward dance lessons, gymnastics, swimming classes and bikes, bikes, bikes – followed by tennis, horse back riding that followed in my teen years. I began serious running and jogging at around 19 years old and to this day can not ever imagine giving that activity up – seeing myself as that 8o year old [G-d willing] taking 8 or 10 hours to finish a half marathon perhaps. Then in college I decided to take up golf – even took classes at my undergraduate Alma Mater, Temple University. Proud to say I reached intermediate levels in both tennis and golf within a few years of beginning those activities but alas, realized even though wanting and still participating  no desire to reach higher levels in either were in my plans. Once married in my twenties – I joined my sail boat owning first husband in that awe inspiring activity; yes I am certified to sail but I tell all who venture off shore with me to be sure others on our boat more readily able than I could ever hope to be. I have worked out at gyms – including well equipped home set ups for over 35 years [lifted weights, have done aerobics and machines of all sorts]; I do daily yoga and even pregnant do no less than a five day multiple disciplined/combined weekly routine – in past and now soon again with a personal trainer.  So you see – there was and is a very REAL part of my life that holds as important the sporting life and no matter little done or obsessively involved, I will and insist my children always include the glory and benefit of sports, exercise and the physical life.

Now there is another non standard chick part of my “sporting life” – that is I REALLY love football, baseball, basketball and soccer. Even Lacrosse is on my list of well viewed possibilities. I will watch and attend both as many as possible college and professional venues. All Olympics are on my MUST absolutely watch, read and discuss “to do” life list. I was at a few Olympics games and will go again. Not even liking television has never stop me from rearranging my very hectic schedule to watch those world iconic events. Odd I think not – I love sports and I am not to be denied on account of my gender. The history of women in sports and athletics is legendary. It is offensive and quite ignorant for anyone to find it REALLY unique that a woman like me – any woman – is rare to love the physical and competitive life that sports provides. Little known and not discussed enough are the female participators, purveyors and promoters of sports. Surely you have already guessed that I am going to educate you on that history. Here goes:

The Treatsye on Flysshynge with an Angle (1496) within the book of Saint Albans is attributed to Dame Juliana Berners … as such the first known book on the sport of fly-fishing is attributed to a woman. This fascinating woman was many things during her quite interesting life – besides fly fishing, she hunted, was a nun and writer. Mary Queen of Scots has been called “Mother of Golf” – her  reference to a “mashie niblick” in a golf log is well known and oft quoted. This historical fact made more interesting on account of the iconic St. Andrews Golf Club being men only membership and when I visited this amazing sports club in Scotland during the 1990’s I pledged playing there one day … still a hope of mine. For women in America it was 1874 when Mary Owen Outerbridge discovered lawn tennis while vacationing in Bermuda where the English had exported it to along with much else. Surely females joined in when the Kings of France played – beginning with the Court of Louis X – in the 12th century … their “jeu de pume” or game of the palm was a must do for all the privileged class. There are notes to suggest the Henry Tudor – King of England and his ill fated wife Anne Boleyn played tennis both together and separately. But not until 1887 in my beloved hometown and still part time residence of Philadelphia where women were first officially playing in tennis tournaments. It must be noted that currently there are still prejudicial status for women in Sports – for instance the Golf Masters excludes women golfers; just this week the teenage young man, Chinese citizen, Guan ranked well and yet that nation’s girl golf students could not even consider entry. Well now, that is REAL proof that we of the female gender are still being marginalized in the Sports arena to some extent. Happily professional women athletes are coming into their won with endorsements and public notice … hopefully the collegiate possibilities will also increase soon.

I have been so blessed – even in the area of sports. My first amazing and very accomplished father-in-law, The Colonel, was also a senior citizen award winning ranked tennis player. Through him I met the late Arthur Ashe, John McEnroe and other iconic players. Still in my home are his trophies and awarded mementos.  I am proud to say and love visiting the Newport Tennis Hall of Fame, where this dear man is remembered.

There are more amazing REAL life sports loves in my life – more about my many memberships plans, like the  Golf Divas  in my memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life. What I do want to conclude with here is how my second husband who loved bike marathons and hiking as his primary exercise obsession  took to running during our quite short three month courtship in preparation for our marriage – yes indeed, my honey wanted to be able to run with his new bride – sweet I am sure you will agree!!!
