Every February I Fall in Love with the GOP … Grand OSCAR Product!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Oscar-2013Money makes the world go around”  the song in Cabaret begins … yes indeed it is, happily, Oscar money generating time again. We should all be REALLY grateful that the U.S.A. entertainment industry provides a yearly venue that creates jobs, distributes contracts, does massive hires and creates wealth for so many varied vendors, artists, workers, etc.. You have those employed directly in the film industry – the actors, producers, directors, agents, scenery and makeup/costume designers, audio experts and more. The accessory and support areas of food, travel, car service, fashion, hair stylist +++ are REALLY too numerous to list. All are benefactors of Oscar time economy  but more relevant is the year round economic benefits to so many that our America film business creates. Along with this grandeur once yearly film business economic stimulus is the day to day movie tickets, refreshment concessions, DVD sales and attached product promotion licensees that all pay salaries to small business owners and average workers. Even the fashion and jewelry industries benefit from red carpet events … copies galore are instantly produced after each star studded couture viewing – sold to the waiting minions for much more reasonably priced aspired to attires. Reason enough to support this industry but there is more and you my dear readers/followers just know that I am itching and ready to explain it all to you here.

Shall we start with one of my favorite subjects – the law; in this instance Intellectual Property Laws. My brilliant husband, Chester Michael Eliasz-Solomon and I (jointly) own 30 trademarks and are forever watchful, as are our advisers of infringements on these products of our creation. The entertainment industry is and should REALLY be vigilant over their produced works – whether tangible like actual movies or an idea – all should be the sole property of those who had  developed, imagined and produced that thing. When you copy – engage in piracy [warez] – you are stealing from many people. Theft is theft … no delineation from you breaking into a home to rob from another person. All of you who know or follow me realize by now that I tolerate no such action – you try to take my ideas, my repudiation  or my right to be productive – I will sue your miscreant evil doer ass immediately. Why should Hollywood, et al. be any less determined to protect their property? Remember not only the REALLY few high paid stars are effected by such thievery – there are multitudes of workers whose livelihoods are lessened and even permanently destroyed from piracy theft. Trust me – you should REALLY care about this issue for yourself, loved ones and communities because all lose revenue from such egregious actions. Listen folks – I fully admit to being a purist on this topic; my late Father, who was a successful entrepreneur capitalist pro-union/labor activist [yes – all that and more] would admonish us/his  children and grandchildren for looking through a magazine or book too extensively before purchasing. Abe Solomon’s  well thought out theory was by doing that – deciding not to buy only after consuming the contents – we were taking away jobs – that is correct, using without paying destroys the economy – period. So you see I was born and bred to be REALLY involved in the legal world of economic rights and protection – it affects each of us no matter your locale, career or financial status. It is not just Hollywood that suffers from piracy theft.

Now – the REALLY glam  fun stuff plus a wee bit of sociology. I adore the arts, the creators, the skills, the fashion and the glitz. So very American are all the Oscar details. Where else can a just a year ago unknown actor be championed as the greatest star on earth? Up by the proverbial boot straps has always been the true grit of movie land – indeed we of modernity just love to build folks up, just to tear them down and yet, still inspiring each of us to see an upstart youngster or seasoned working actor make it big. Hollywood and Vine – the corner of stardom and obscurity present all possibilities as equals. Films inspire, comfort, teach, entertain and much more – salvation is found, direction shown and often much needed momentary escape given by going to the movies. Wow – who could ask for anything more? Us mere mortals copy speech, lifestyles, dress, seduction methods from what we see and hear at the movies – television as well but more so the big screen in that it REALLY is a bigger than life venue and as such morphs we watchers into its temporarily staged world ideal. Many REALLY important historical social issues have been addressed and affected by the movies … wars detailed, patriotism defined, civil rights situations made clear. Can we not therefore think of film as the world’s tutor – our modern day Socratic teacher is how I see the shared communal movie watching experience and resulting national and even international conversational debates. Communication made accessible is what the film industry gives the world – we can know one another more easily because a story is told and unfolded before our eyes when we go to the movies.

So here I am at a hotel blogging event – at an “undisclosed location” [not joking about that] – writing this blog post, enjoying events and looking forward to having a REALLY lively Twitter @HeiressMommy [Teréza Eliasz-Solomon] peripatetic chat with all of you as the Academy Award Oscars are presented live tonight!!!

P.S. Hubby and I and our “team” are thrilled that discussions are beginning for my memoir Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! to be made into a motion picture … now what to wear on the Red Carpet – thinking my much admired Marchesa  [hello Mrs. Harvey Weinstein] would be a REALLY great choice for me and of course, jewels by the iconic Harry Winston. Stay tuned – my life is always REALLY getting more and more interesting. Enjoy the evening!

Just A REAL Woman Wearing Hats … On REALLY Appropriate Occasions!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

Decided we all REALLY needed a bit of beauté et le plaisir considering that you dear readers so lovingly put up with my ongoing and admittedly at times tedious tutorials for and about those pest loser miscreants. As such I decided [sans full makeup] to model/share a few of my Fall 2012, Winter and Spring 2013 newly acquired couture hats and fascinators. Oh yes, isn’t my REAL ring [also in these photos] gorgeous?

See what wonderful things can happen when a REAL man, like my amazing, wonderful husband loves a REAL woman like moi. I included for edification of foe and friend alike a bit of the history of women’s hats – all here is meant for the enjoyment of  my nearly 5000 blog readers and followers … yes my darlings I REALLY  appreciate your time and effort to read and comment on my writing.

Even as a baby girl, a toddler, a young girl, teen and onward to my adult years – hats were part of wardrobe planning. So many pictures – so many references to this or late well placed hat – for style, for warmth, for protection from the elements – each a denotation of occasions and passing times in my life. This Fall 2012 and Winter, Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show catwalk collections have including, after a bit of absence from the fashion scene, an abundance of hats … some quite extreme and others very practical – all worth considering. So for those of you who REALLY appreciate that style can matter and who like myself know such things are not frivolous – here is hoping you always have a REAL home – a place to hang your hat. Of course, you who follow and support me must surely realize this post is going to be about more than great hats. I hope you find my words entertaining and my thoughts instructive and just find my hat pictures adorable.

As for the others, shall we say poseurs, who are I am told are nearly obsessed with my every word – please dear G-d have them buy a Thesaurus [oops – sorry miscreant “sub-par” under educated losers – you do know what that is – right?]. I suggest that because my REAL “internet ninja” and others protective of me have been routinely sharing your nearly illiterate Facebook postings with hubby and I – from what we can see there is no REAL debate possible as you miscreants so frequently bastardize the English language [definite reference to short “impotent” loser Michigan guy’s trashy mother-in-law thinking he could ever debate me – OMG  – hubby, friends & I laughed heartily at that suggestion – even my Philly now living in Italy, the beautiful smart NC goddess gal pal, was giggling on phone about these characters – WOW – transatlantic bad press for the miscreants – see the saying is correct – as my “pen” is truly mightier than a ” short sword”]. On one point even these ignorant folks should be able to understand what I am attempting to say here about something being bastardize because I know for a REAL and legal fact [I have the documents and so does the lawyer/M.S.I.A. cohort, et al.] that at least one [the daughter of devil ex-wife] of you have what was once called “bastard offspring” – you know no REAL Father – as in your children have been 100% REALLY legally disowned and disinherited and the man you claimed to be their father [my REAL husband & REAL father of my REAL children] had his name legally changed; I will explain as simply as possible for the miscreants to understand – that man’s now current REAL legal name is NOT the name on your 3 [1 dead and 2 alive] bastard children’s birth certificates; hence your children have NO REAL father nor a REAL paternal family any longer. Someone asked me recently why my husband’s ex-wife was not smart enough to fully comprehend how much my husband despises her and her children – this was as result of this lawyer friend listing the many REAL ways my husband has REALLY legally disavowed her and her offspring … do not know exactly was how I more or less answered and of course, lawyer friend and I agreed possibly delusional personality disorder or just plain stupidity being reason. Lets face if a man legally disowns and disinherits you and your children – tells everyone he was never married before me nor has any other children besides ours and even legally changes his last name to mine in part to further erase any connection to your children – well then, pretty insulting  – I am sure my REALLY wise blog followers will agree. Almost forgot – my certified genealogy husband also erased all from family trees – including the very popular Ancestry.com … my poor darling frets that there might be some ancestry site out there on the internet that he missed in his determination to eliminate his ex-wife, her children and except for his parents Chester and Rosemary Eliasz, a couple of their siblings and  plus a few distant cousins, all his other biological family [look it up miscreants – ONLY denotes his parents as having had between them 3 other children, Child #1, #2, #3 and a full notation on my husband, who was their best child, is all you will find]. I guess you readers by now realize my husband and I are serious about ridding our unique Eliasz-Solomon family of these scum forever – now my biological relatives and the few cousins I approve of from my husband’s side are DEFINITELY in our life to stay and enjoy many happy times and blessings with us.

Anyway, back to the REAL me … not much makeup here [not my full face as they say] – these photos were done in my REAL  dressing room/walk in closet [room] in my REAL home [NOT our old 3100+ square foot $600,000 home that was criminally vandalized 2003 by children of devil’s daughter ex-wife and NOT small 1800 square feet under $190,000 like Michigan miscreant’s homes/same tiny footage for Pennsylvania miscreant who lives in under $290,000 home of her 2nd husband that she manipulated into marrying her when he was ill a little over 10 years ago – at least that is what she told my husband – go figure a chatty broad who lies, you never REALLY know]. By the way, our new homeS will have closets that are bigger than ALL the 3 miscreant losers homes put together – see you have to be a REALLY genius Masters Degree Computer Scientist, who is a  famous Data Architect like my hubby to REALLY look up the REAL facts about someone’s property. IMPORTANT FYI FOR MISCREANTS – here is yet another law school/legal tutorial for you: before you get the silly, child-like notion that we are harassing you – forget it . This is how it works: when one initiates a topic – as you did with insinuated lies and your usual misinformation on Facebook about our homes, etc, then we/our REAL lawyers may do likewise in-kind with impunity … see idiots, the adage “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” is true even in jurist prudence. Oh yes, one thing more – we ALWAYS notify the Courts and such about our REAL situations – so if fat guy loser disowned/disinherited brother thinks he will inform anyone about us … knock yourself out – we are way ahead of you – every person/official was already informed about that threat from you and we keep each updated on all our REAL facts/situations. Actually, ALL Court officials, etc. have your names, contact information and voicemail threats, Facebook/Twitter rants, etc. – in other words, you cannot tell anyone anything that we have not already informed each about – FULLY!   None of this should surprise the miscreants – after all my very protective husband warned all his now legally disowned and fully disinherited former siblings in multiple emails [which by the way structure & strongly worded verbiage greatly impressed my publicist & attorneys] and those certified letters they keep refusing [a fact which detectives/lawyers found interesting – to say the least] that he would NEVER tolerate insults nor threats to/about myself, his wife and the mother of his ONLY REAL children.  I spend so much time with lawyers, judges and at Court Houses – that I am a sort of mascot … my Court Cop friends and I joke about hubby’s ex [one who saw ugly nasal broad said she was reason he would not want to marry but conversely knowing me, might make him reconsider because my hubby definitely “hit the jackpot” 2nd time around]. One sweet lady cop knitted U.S.A. flag winter caps for our REAL twin sons recently – many read my blog and they tell me I am great fun – of course, I also bring them goodies and funny stories routinely. Unlike miscreant losers all these REALLY fine people know the REAL truth … the good and the bad and REALLY get it. My husband, although himself born there suggests it must be that miscreants were born in Michigan – most still live there but I say no because I know REALLY great born and bred Michigan folks – has to be something else that makes these creeps so stupid and loathsome. So you see, my dear hubby and I are good at our REAL work …G-d I am smiling big time – such fun this has become for us because when you know – deep down in your heart and others say the same about you – that like my husband and I, that you are a REALLY good person – then, yes, there is a certain amount of joy in retribution against miscreant evil types.

PLEASE my dear followers, forgive me,  my snobbery about hubby and my amazing soon to be full time new homeS [not REALLY how I think of others] but I readily admit to  having just too much fun teasing sad pathetic loser types – an advisor recently suggested that venues like Architectural Digest,  Town & Country  and  Hampton magazines [we have online subscriptions to all 3] will surely want to do a spread on our new magnificent abodes when my memoir book is published in 2013 and he  suggested how irritated that would make loser miscreants but myself and gal pal who accompanied me to that meeting, virulently insisted those kind NEVER read A.D. ,  T.&C. nor Hamptons-anything – they are more US magazine types or maybe People magazine at best. I should feel badly about taking such pleasure in teasing these “little” middle of the middle of the middle loser types but if you knew them like I and my husband do – you dear supportive nearly 5000 for me and 28,000+ for my husband, Chester Michael Eliasz-Solomon’s blog followers would REALLY agree they are loathsome bottom dweller insignificant creatures – truly worthy of disdain. In fact many of you have called, written and such with full and REAL agreement that these creatures are REAL losers … so much fun when I bump into a REAL friend/acquaintance and they chat up about what I write concerning these bottom dwellers. Oh well – ALL will be in my 2013 memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! – my 100% REAL life story with only a bit but sufficiently detailed reference to these REALLY unfashionable creatures.

Annual Fashion Night Out Event REALLY Does Matter … Not Just About Pretty Clothes!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

I know – my peeps are at Democratic Convention in North Carolina where I was invited but had to decline [which I will be writing about in a few days], there are Jewish New Year preparations needing tending to by me and here I am writing about fashion. We all know I am a very complex broad – shall we say a thinker JAP? But this is not only about my need for couture – this 4th Annual Fashion Night Out is about so much more – talent, arts, jobs, commerce, community and that is just the obvious. Many countries and more than you can imagine U.S. cities, towns and country hamlets participate in this September 6th fete. I receive emails from this event, as well as designers I have purchased items from – on my laptop in my home study is a FNO countdown clock – I am serious – it alerts me to new included participants and keeps me directed to getting out and getting into the stores to shop and enjoy. Not to worry, no time, nothing close by – online possibilities are plenty. So I am going to explain exactly why FNO matters, how you can get involved – even if not able to purchase anything this year … well maybe just a little something!

The history of Fashion Night Out [does 4 years equal historical notation?]  is one way to understand why what some miscreant (see I got it in, lol) types think frivolous, is anything but that. I reference and explain in my blog post, See You In September – Now Lets … Vogue!, why I agree with what Anna Wintour suggested in the documentary, September Issue – to paraphrase, that is for those afraid of fashion to mock it is ridiculous and I add that the visa verse is also true. In other blog posts I detail how fashion has determined history in ways not easily understood – a leader denoting shared value by choice of attire with their people, a job gotten on account of proper choice of clothes or an inclusion to a club because of presenting well. Poor, rich or someone in the middle – most folks dress for a reason in mind – be it comfort, safety, event, style or just joy – we humans cloak ourselves in that which we hope the world will recognize as an essence of who we are. There are many wonderful charities/organizations that attend to those less fortunate or attempting a fresh start who need clothes for a job or school interview. I have participated in and donated to Dress For Success in my hometown of Philadelphia and I can tell you it makes a big difference in someone’s troubled life to feel their attire shows them at their best en route to their potential new place in this world.

Fashion Night Out is a global initiative sponsored by Vogue and CFDA – started in 2009 as a way to promote fashion and its accessory issues of commerce, textiles, design, etc.. A slumping economy demanded a forceful and committed effort to get shoppers back into the stores and so the fashionista powers that be combined that necessity with a charitable contribution aspect for NYC AIDS fund. Growing to include events, food venues, gifts packages, t-shirts/totes collaboratively designed for FNO and more lead to a successful $$$ replenishment of fashion interest worldwide. Obviously, my soon to be hometown NYC is the center of this yearly event – why not? as NYC is the center of the Universe in so many ways. No I am not being a East Coast elitist snob – ok, maybe a wee bit but credit must be given where due – for it is indeed NYC that birth this very profitable and job creating event. No worries dear readers – surely there is a satellite FNO near you and if not you can always get online baby. There will even be TV coverage and a behind the scenes/how we built this [shout out to GOP, lol] show, plus a presentation of the documentary September Issue I have referenced. WOW – now that is organizing on steroids and this brings me to the topic of ingenuity and creativity that FNO showcases so well. America Council Of Fashion Designers CEO, Steve Kolb has created a video tutorial and guide for FNO – there is Twitter and Facebook, emails and guides galore to help everyone, everywhere be a part of this late night September 6th [others close dates around the world] happening. So many venue additions have morphed from the first FNO in 2009 – food, jewelry, furnishings, art and so much more has blossomed as a result of this effort.

No more important American ideal exist than the pick yourself up by your bootstraps and make your way forward plan. A wise friend asked that I include the buy American suggestion in this blog post – yes, buying American products is important – even paramount to helping the U.S.A. economy and as such I do say we must try to buy products designed and produced here in this great nation. There is a however I must examine – the international and interdependent aspect of modernity has dictated that we consume and purchase items that are often from everywhere on the planet. I admit to loving European designers – my wardrobe full of ready to wear and couture from France, Italy and other countries but I want Americans to be in my closet as well – always looking for and promoting American creativity is a must do in my life. The glory of FNO is that it occurs on U.S.A. Terra firma for those of you here and others in their nation … so you see if you get out and shop, eat, participate in your American hometown on September 6th you will be helping Americans – jobs and incomes increased by your very presence at this event. I am a political junkie and so I will digress from fashion in a way here to say that when you enter the door of any shop in this country, no matter where their products were made, you are helping Americans have jobs – yes it is wonderful to check that label for made in U.S.A. but we must have increased initiative and yes share with other nations what we produce and they with us. The FNO is an American invention – decided and started by experts from many nations but birthed on U.S. soil – we are still the world’s inspiration and that is championed when happenings like Fashion Night Out succeed.

I have been at 2 of the 4 FNO – was hoping to be in my soon to be hometown of NYC this year but planning move, school and babies means next year will be my time there. This year I will be at a Philadelphia FNO event and DEFINITELY doing my part online. In my 2013 book, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! fashion shows up as an issue in the most unlikely of places – trust me, you will lol. So even though there are more pressing issues I care about … getting Obama reelected for one, I will, as always, try to look good while doing good. May I suggest you do the same – now follow the links I provide here – including the where and how to participate in Fashion Night Out. Please go to the “Chat With Tereza” option on my blog wall to share your FNO experiences and photos via email with me. Have fun my darlings!!!

P.S. In reference to this November election – the GOP war on the arts – cutting funding will destroy fashion, design and such initiatives and therefore destroy American jobs. So while you participate in FNO be sure you are registered to vote, have the [unconstitutionally required] I.D. and reach out to others to be sure they do too. Because trust me if Romney/Ryan and the Republicans win Congress/Senate majority, no night out will ever be the same and certainly ONLY the elite will get to enjoy such events because not only are the GOP extremist planning to cut art grants and small business loans but also public transportation, etc. – so unless you have a limo ride, you are not going anywhere much once they are in control of our great nation!!!

See You In September – Now Lets … Vogue!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

And now back to our regular programming … that is done – miscreants [who I sincerely doubt read Vogue and if so surely NEVER shop its pages] addressed and warned. Once again,  I can be the sweet, intelligent, beautiful, sexy, stylish, kind, loving, loyal and faithful woman [my husband’s description of me, not mine] that G-d REALLY intended me to be. So as I wait for my 120th Anniversary Vogue September Issue with Lady Gaga gracing its cover, I decided to pontificate on the meaning of the month Septem – which was really the seventh month in the Roman calendar until 46 B.C.E. .

I am sitting here in my study writing and listening to that old song, See You In  September … yes we all look forward to summer but also the promise that comes with September’s chance to start a new school, various fall holidays and the harvest. No surprise that life cycles and nature seem to evolve in and around this time of year. Who doesn’t have a  “in September” memory, hope or plan? What will you be doing when the summer is through and what change will this fall season bring in your life? At the very least, the bathing suits, shorts and sandals will go back in the storage closet, making room for sweaters and such. The smell of the beach and picnic foods are soon to be replaced with apple cider and pumpkin flavors. September is an anticipatory type of month, even if predictable!

As a Jewish person, for myself September begins a move toward ending one year and beginning a new one – Rosh  Hashanah and Yom Kippur informs me in that renewal and a new calendar are at hand come each fall. Soon I and my family will reflect on this passing 5772 and contemplate the new year 5773 we are entering – the task for us Jews each fall is to repent and begin anew. For my family and friends this is an amazing time – so much good has happened and so much evil has been shed this past year from our blessed life. Our hope and pray is that this new year will bring only the best we can create in our home full of joy, days of adventure and great experiences shared with those we love and who have loved and protected us so well. My readers and followers, as well as my personal friends, colleagues, etc. know this fall also includes a few difficult situations but that justice at last seems appropriate as the year in my Jewish calendar morphs into another. As the book of life closes on the most highest of holy days for we Jews each fall, all wrongs must be righted and all obligations completed and so it as it should be for me in that September 2012/5772 will finally begin the REAL road to REAL justice and redemption. Never able to share all here on my blog posts – I apologize once again and again promise ALL will be told in due time and shared with those of you so dear and supportive in my life.

In a more humorous tone, being Jewish so defines me that once hearing my Mother discuss a possible evening gown for New Year’s with a lady friend in early September, I felt compelled to ask why so formal for synagogue services?  With her typical clever eye rolling repartee, Mother responded, “December 31st – the gentile New Year my dear“. So you see it is not odd that I often write the Jewish year on correspondence for a bit of time each fall. Equally interesting in my line of new year tales is when I spent December 31st in Israel in the morning and then at a party that evening in Egypt’s newly acquired via peace treaty Sinai. In my ancestral homeland the day was like any other as the Jewish state while acknowledging the Gregorian calender and of course, the usual festivities occurring, do not really consider January 1st the beginning of [our] Jewish New Year. So it was that I was a wee bit conflicted that day – ending with myself and a group climbing Mount Sinai on 1 January 1980. My point is September is a month filled with so much meaning – so much hope and so much promise in so many ways. – as much or more than the month of January.

Perpetual student is how I am often described … having a REAL [yes, I know another tease to the miscreants] four year college degree and others from REAL schools – returning 2013 for legal studies when our twins settled in our NY home with their stay at home Daddy makes me very attuned to the new school year ritual that begins each September. The anticipation – new school attire, books and such make for a sense of new beginnings and endless possibilities. I love the book store experience – purchasing everything on a syllabus while  a bit taunting, is still very exciting. Crisp fall air and new pages to be turned – all an inspiration to forge ahead.

Fashion, fashion, fashion is not only a matter of style but of definition – to define ones self for the world by choices of clothes and accessories is historical. I wrote a blog on 19 May 2012, Why it is Only Cool to be a Fashionista If You Have REAL Substance & Brains Too!!!, explaining just that issue and the relevance of design to living. Each fall there are  fashion shows /a week for couture and ready to wear that take place in New York, Milan, London and Paris . These Fashion Week shows are actually spring and summer for the next calender year and yet give definition to September. Even children define themselves by what they wear  – in every part of the world families ready the heavier clothing as fall approaches. Of course, I like to do more than get warm by design – great fun awaits me as I decide what pieces to add to my wardrobe each season and none more than September as I plot and strategically decide my look as summer ends. Of course, when able I have and soon will again be doing this the spring before as the fall lines are presented but still there is the little additions that lure one to Neiman Marcus and such. In my life, my dear husband, C. Michael Eliasz-Solomon loves to and almost insist on accompanying me to select my attire – I am his JAP barbie doll and never mind his input because he has a great sense of style and color and definitely knows what he likes to see on me, his lady love. Even this shared seasonal excursion – both fall and others – is an excited rendezvous and so another September notation is entered into the must dos of life.

Watching the documentary The September Issue brings to the fore that fashion is about REAL life – jobs , economics, holidays, function and form. As it opens the marvelous American Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour [who I pray to G-d my publicist convinces to invite me to the Met Costume Gala in 2013 when my 2nd book/memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! is published] makes a very profound statement and one that all my nearly 4,000 readers and followers know I can surely relate to these days. It is something akin to just because REAL fashion frightens people they should not demean those wanting REAL fashion and REAL style in their life [nor may I add visa verse – unless the lesser types insist we of normality respond – wink, wink]. To this point, someone last year posted as a suggestion to me about something or other they were obviously insecure about with a Twitter photo of three unkempt, wash & wear hair, cheap quite ugly shoe wearing and not very attractive women noting the suggestion that these are REAL women – well now, need I say more? To be sure, if so blessed to meet Anna Wintour, I will definitely regal her with this humorous tale [think hubby still has that ridiculous Twitter photo in our legal file]. I must save that diatribe for another time but needless to say there are those who do and can dress well and then there is everyone else. Let me state that this is in no way a noblest  put down on account of anyone’s financial inability, etc. but instead as Anna might express a push back to those so hell bent on ignoring REAL fashions place in this complicated world we live in today.

The history making 916 pages that I will devour once my September 2012 American Vogue arrives will almost assuredly offer example and instruction on life, style, design and fashion, of course. The others I read online and otherwise, the European Vogues like British and Italian will also be forever part of my fall  ritual – especially this specific September 2012 that will make EVERYTHING in my new life so Vogue!!!

P.S. My husband insisted that as it has become apparent that my “fan base” now includes self proclaimed “evil doers”, we should provide [in hubby’s words] photographic evidence of why he LOVES to see my face first thing every morning – oh no, will darling husband now be accused of object [me] narcissistic love???

Thank you my darling brilliant and talented husband for this wonderful Vogue compilation of your favorite photos of me/your artistic talents amaze me – I am flattered and grateful that you think I am so beautiful – I LOVE YOU my husband forever and always!!!

Why it is only Cool to be a Fashionista if you have REAL Substance & Brains Too!!!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

As with many things in life, some people use outward appearances to cover up insecurities and their deep seeded real life problems.  Often I find they are avoiding their own truths …past wrong doings, losses, insecurities, etc..  I believe the template is set early in life – as to being superficial/deceptive or well rounded/honest about yourself.  I am attempting, as I am blessed to have had my parents do, to be a parent that promotes fullness and honesty in my children’s life.  Sadly, other parents have not done so in raising their children and the result has caused suffering for many …including the victims of these people.

You are probably wondering how this serious subject relates to fashion …well it does in that the cloak of clothes are often used for self delusion and misrepresentation by the gross evil doers among us.  Me – I just love to look good, while doing good.  I readily admit to being a devoted fashionista & worshiping Anna Wintour I have been thrilled to own/wear couture clothes & in fact have enjoyed attending New York fashion week more than once.  Likewise I am not ashamed to say that Paris/Milan Fashion week are both on my to do bucket list.  Even the diaper bag for our twin sons is Prada & just this week my style conscious husband/their devoted Daddy picked out little Prada shoes for his darling boys.  So you see that I find nothing egregious with loving fashion BUT I do find the pretenders among us, the misanthropes & the delusional narcissistic types quite offensive.

Throughout history & even today major world figures – in politics, government, business, etc. – have used fashion to define their role & to effect circumstances. This is only a valid attempt at effecting change if & only if there is REAL substance & intelligence behind the outward appearance …only legitimate if the clothing is not  a ruse or cover up for loathsome character!

The other problem I find is that the very least substantial individuals are often the most quick to criticize those of us who care about appearance but, unlike them, also care equally about  more substantive issues. In other words, those who protest not caring about such “trivial” things like designer clothes & yet attempt to emulate & imitate those of us with REAL intrinsic good taste, while they show no evidence of concern for more serious issues.  Oh well, envy has always & will always exist – sadly, the very ones most envious are often those that thwart their own possibilities. I will continue to pray for a generous spirit concerning the envious, the less accomplished usurpers & even the dangerous types among us – of course, all the while dressing quite well for my role as Heiress Mommy!!!

P.S. May I strongly recommend the book by Francois Boucher, “20,000 Years of Fashion” …great reading on the historical importance of fashion when combined with talent & brains!!!

My litigious life with Loubies!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

I LOVE when my passion for jurist prudence meets my Loubie red soled shoes in Court. Consider the Sunday New York Times article on copyright law, “Little Red (Litigious) Shoes“.

So I am ecstatic that the NYT (another passion of mine) covers the intersection of IP Law and Fashion. This is not a frivolous matter however …Yves Saint Laurent & Louboutin are in the common current argument as to who owns what concerning ones product or design – all should be concerned!
