My Favorite Abrahams; What REAL Honesty Looks Like

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

LincolnThoughtfulBeing REALLY honest … lets say and agree that means not telling untruths, not cheating, stealing nor [as the Bible states clearly] never being slanderous or defaming. Jurist Prudence defines “shedding a false light” as dishonestly misrepresenting as if fact issues concerning another person and hence subject for litigatory initiations. Yes my dear readers – all relevant to my/my husband’s ongoing issues with The Miscreants™. Truly astonishing is the fact that these individuals, like so many I am sure each of you know personally, are guilty of REAL lies and yet accuse others without proof of falsehoods; oh well, that is for upcoming trials and my end 2013 memoir Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life! to detail. This post however is not about those dishonest, hateful and delusional nemesis we are REALLY suing/having law enforcement investigate but instead about my wonderful Father, Abraham H. Solomon and President Abraham Lincoln, as well as the patriarch of my [Jewish]  people, Abraham.

All who knew my dear Father made frequent quipped reference to “honest Abe” … Abe Solomon, like Abe Lincoln thought REAL truth [not faux postured too often pretense of truth] paramount to a life well lived. As the wonderful Spielberg movie, Lincoln, examines our 16th President’s ability to know what is honest and what only a guise for nefarious underpinnings, so did my Father. For is not REAL honesty that which is not only truth based but equally without self delusional and oft times dangerously evil intentional effort? Neither my Father nor Lincoln were naive in thinking one could be blatant in truth telling in the face of REAL evil doers – more subtle and sophisticated honesty made a must by ones nemesis. Of course, we all know that [as my very erudite Mother often said] old adage, “those who are REAL lie tellers, always think others are as well”; so true as is proven often when investigating the REAL underpinnings of ones accusers.   Being REALLY truthful, as Lincoln and Abe Solomon were, is a mindful task. This does not equal statements that are false or obfuscating  but instead adherence to REAL facts that best form a coherent and positive tonality. Fortunately – as I reference often in my blog – not only moral biblical dictates but modernity legal systems present recourse to those so sorely dishonest among us. How my own amazing Father and President Lincoln managed to deal with the REALLY loathsome lie tellers who posture as otherwise, is a lesson I gleam from daily.

Judaism has as its founding father, Abraham. A man not perfect nor without failure and still the person who birth a nation – we Hebrews who gave the world monotheism and REAL codified law. The Jewish patriarch, like my Father and Lincoln, had many troublesome lessers to deal with – honesty always at the forefront of all these men’s efforts and yet each had amazing and REAL success on account of their innate ability to recognize and properly deal with the unseemly enemies they faced. I am REALLY blessed – so many REALLY honest men in my life  … my own husband Chester M. Eliasz-Solomon is unique in his own [now legally disowned/disinherited] family as he and his dear Father are the ONLY truly honest males in that group of individuals. I and others are often rendered bewildered as to how my husband came from such dysfunction but then was not Abraham singularly blessed among the early Hebrews as well. I do not reach too far in my comparable analysis that REALLY good men like my Father, President Lincoln and my husband are similar to the Hebrew patriarch in their fortitude and determination to thwart all REAL evil doers, whilst maintaining their integrity.

P.S. It was not lost on myself or my siblings that our Father being compared to Abe Lincoln and our dear Mother’s name being Mary was interesting. However, even though I am convinced Mary Todd Lincoln was misunderstood and unfairly maligned, my feminist amazing equal partner to my Father in all things, Mother was the opposite in personality to our 16th First Lady. Oh yes, one last thing  – in my opinion, the Oscar should go to Spielberg, Daniel Day-Lewis and all nominated for the movie Lincoln!!!

Inauguration Rejoicing 2013

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

InnaugurationAs my husband and I prepared to brave winter weather four years ago to be present at the historical first Obama inauguration my mind was mostly on my Father, Abraham. His years of civil right activism were finally being rewarded with REAL equality and the glory of America’s destiny realized. When my Father marched with Dr. King on D.C. in 1963, I as his little girl had to stay home, in Philadelphia, anxiously waiting for him to return with tales of unity for America and now REAL triumph was at hand because our wonderful nation had finally completed the REAL promise that all men are created equal. Or had we? I ask because I have spent six years – two campaigning and four during Obama’s first administration defending and explaining that this man is REALLY an American [even carrying a copy of his birth certificate in my valise for a while]. So much valuable energy has been wasted on just proofing Obama is legit – no matter that this very capable brilliant man killed Osama Bin Laden, got rid of Gaddafi, felled other terrorist, ended Iraq war, saved our economy, passed iconic health care reform, dealt with natural disasters and so much more … still idiots are questioning his rightful place in our government. Personally, I am exhausted from doing public relations for my candidate/the 44th President of the United States of America but here I go again – tearing up and gladdened that my country is smart enough and brave enough to reelect and see inaugurated for a second time our homegrown, mixed race, multi-cultural  son, Barack Hussein Obama. May G-d bless America and all her citizens!!!

This is a short blog post. I, as you know my dear readers, always have a lot to say but for now I am happy that the United States of America is such a REALLY great nation and that [G-d willing] the next four years with Obama as our leader will prove productive and promising. Please read my previous post Democracy REALLY Worked in 2012!!! [7 November 2012] and Election 2012 – Why Little Billy and Susie REALLY Want You To Vote for Obama 2012! [1 November 2012] that reference why I REALLY believe in President Obama. For now, I am just hoping my own brilliant publicist and D.C. friends can get hubby and I a State Dinner or two invite … thinking Poland for my genealogist spouse and of course, Israel for me. Cross fingers – REAL invites and photos (as others have been) will be seen here if those things happen in the next four years. I promise that all my REAL political involvement will be detailed [again – as it REALLY was in my 29 August 2012 blog post, The Political Life … From Womb to Tomb!] and REALLY documented* in my end 2013 memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life!.

P.S. A funny side note – my dear friends at the great Premium Luxury Rentals   car and more REAL luxury full service company kept hearing me threaten, during this last campaign,  to place one of my car Obama 2012 magnets on rental cars or limos that they sent for me   … being REALLY amazing folks, and being use to my passions for those I REALLY believe in, no one at this special company seemed to mind. Love you Max and Cheryl!!!

*F.Y.I. The Miscreants™ – specifically to ignorant legally disowned/disinherited chubby ignorant Michigan nurse and her cohorts … ALL our awards, letters, invitations, etc from famous and important individuals and organizations are 100% REAL and not “printed out from internet” – that facebook remark from you is now a part of $$$ we are seeking in our lawsuit against you and your friends [slander/”shedding a false light” is REALLY serious legal business – see you in Court]. One can only assume folks like you must be quite familiar with faux documents/made up stuff – as you seem personally well versed in such matters – just saying!

Ladies And Gentleman Welcome To The Debate – Oy Veh!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

So exactly how old were you – what school grade included the learning of debate skills? In the more formal setting – we were actually involved in debates against other classmates that involved a structure that is centuries old – rules and protocol specific and detailed. Being erudite, well read and clever of course helped but equally important, we students were taught, is the form and adherence to the debate process … gone apparently are these guidelines from the political debate world today. Lights, camera, action now equals hyperbole, misrepresentation and stagecraft for our political campaign debates – no pure intellectual analysis apparently allowed nor included any longer. We find ourselves at a proverbial slippery slope scenario – information being filtered through extreme partisan participants most times and therefore leaving the electorate baffled and angry – disenfranchised populace the final tragic result I fear.

The Oxford Union – the iconic debate forum has set the standard for academics and others – guidelines that must be adhered to and respected. Yes formality can be daunting but also liberating by allowing one to function in an exacting way – formulating strategies that lead to success within boundaries predetermined can prove a WINNING strategy. Why then do our present day, very well formally [some Ivy League] educated political candidates not take full advantage of the REAL debate structure? Oh my, the answers are both obvious and plentiful … the most readily understood is they want to win and think hyperbole, bullying and merely being forceful will do just that. Well, we the voters/debate viewers are the REAL culprit – we hunger for the drama – rally behind the thug – champion the one who, no matter the lies told, seems to be the debate winner.

In my personal and professional life there are times [as I am sure you my dear readers/followers are quite aware of by now] where debate was not an option on account of the opposing team being so loathsome, ignorant, sub-par, delusional and lie spewing. In my last blog post, I made slight reference to one of those pest miscreants quite trashy mother-in-law suggesting he debates me – now mind you, I am very sure these types know nothing of REAL debate structure – after great belly laughs, myself, husband and colleagues were rendered stunned by the very idea that those of such low status could even be entertaining the notion of verbally challenging me – so it is seems to be similarly in our current political national life … those least valued attempting to outwit those most capable. What is one to do, when like I and my husband, the other side is without REAL moral structure or any REAL intellectual capacity? The answer is of course, as my very strong, wise and determined husband, Chester Michael Eliasz-Solomon,  says often – you must take your gloves off, virtually “slap” the opponent across their face and make it evident you will not tolerate/accept their lies – not debate a person who runs from their position/falsely states their ideas like the REAL cowards they are.

The answer is always truth – yes – REAL truth – not ever what others think they can profess and convince the world is true. As my husband and I insist on in our little dynasty – as should all REALLY good people, including worthy politicians – is to never allow the debate to be won by threats and falsehoods. President Obama did what I once did and will NEVER do again … in the first Romney-Obama debate 3 October 2012], Barack Obama allowed his opponent, Mitt Romney to misrepresent both his own position and equally President Obama’s. There was a time in my own life – which wonderful and brilliant advisers had guided me toward – that I too allowed those lesser to lie and determine what was valid. Needless to say that will NEVER happen again … so it is that all who follow this blog have been privy to my posture and that of my husband that insist all those will be challenged when they attempt to win the REAL debate through obfuscating lies and untruths. My husband has zero tolerance for Mitt Romney Etch-A-Sketch campaign style; in fact my husband is firm that my “team” never allow that from those challenging us – he and I have learned, as I want President Obama to as well, that one must NEVER allow the enemy to define the moment. I am privileged to know and be friends with White House types – elected officials and their support teams … many have heard me pontificate this life philosophy – now I hope and pray they will do as I do and thwart the enemies at the gate – do this as if life itself depended on it because it often REALLY does!!!

P.S. As I often do – I want to reference one of my very erudite, wise & clever Mother’s quips. When discussing the adage about not lying down with dogs, as one might get up with fleas … my Mother countered that a better choice is to wear flea  repellent, get down with/challenge the dogs and really WIN the argument. Of course, I feel badly even referencing dogs as my sweet pooch does not have fleas and she, Princess Java Argus, is of a much finer quality/has far better character than the miscreant pests hubby & I need to defeat as of late [oh yes, also must tell you that our Labrador is also much, much cuter/classier looking/more shall we say, regal than their canines – just saying]. Ok – much more of that REAL truth in my 2013 memoir, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life!!!

Reason We Democrats DEFINITELY Have Better Conventions!!!

by Teréza Eliasz-Solomon (HeiressMommy™)

I am not a member of any organized political party, I am a Democrat“, Will Rodgers famously said. Well baby, we are definitely organized lately. Will Rodgers also said, “Democrats never agree on anything, that’s why they’re Democrats. If they agreed with each other, they would be Republicans.” Not true any longer – this year we ALL agree President Obama MUST be reelected this November and to be honest I am not sure all Republicans agree that Mr. Romney should win in 2012.

As the child of life long devoted and very politically involved Democrats, I have seen my diversified and 100% inclusive party bicker, fracture and quite frankly screw up royally when it came to winning – not always getting our message across in a salient fashion nor always being true to the party ideal. Like any big complicated family – between intermarriage, varied faiths, different races and every dam branch of the American lifestyle conceivable being at our table, there were times nothing got done and certainly no elections easily won. But that changed when Bill Clinton ran for president in 1992 and again 1996. We Democrats got our act together and brought it home – home to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

A few blog posts ago in The Political Life … From Womb To Tomb! I detailed my own personal political life journey. Oy veh, characters and defeat plenty for any one life but glory and exaltation abound in my effort as well. The undeniable feeling that we Democrats have determination that no matter the differences between us, we are all REAL Americans makes the struggle and squabbles worth it – worth it all. No greater feeling of patriotism can be had then knowing that even though you might dislike and certainly never want to break bread with your compatriot, you will fight for their right to exist as you can in this great nation. This year the Republicans gathered in Tampa, Florida and we Democrats in Charlotte, North Carolina – both parties attempting to convince the electorate that they and not the other should occupy the White House next year.

Now let us discuss the party – the gathering – the coming together every four years that we Americans call a convention. Wow have things changed over the years – no more the surprises, the floor fights nor nail biting aspect of who will be the nominee. Instead what goofy or unpleasant speech will be made or what gaffe will be highlighted and repeated over and over and over again on the internet – these are what keeps the political operatives up at night concerning conventions recently. Glamour galore – very pretty and with great entertainment value – this can best describe both parties conventions. But you have to admit, we Democrats are much better at throwing this kind of event. A rowdy bunch maybe – still the lack of uniformity we Democrats have and yes I believe, absence of rigid attitudes like our Republican brethren have, definitely give way to unfettered excitement and true American enthusiasm at our annual gathering. True both Republicans and Democrats are basically throwing a pep rally at these conventions but they are as different as – oh I don’t know – shall we say, a church picnic compared to a college homecoming? Yes indeed, we Democrats may be a wild bunch  but we have learned to get our act together and put on a truly great show as we nominate our Presidential candidates every four years.

Goose bump factor – thrills and chills – you gotta admit that is what the Democratic convention gifts. Yes, I admit the Republicans for their devotees probably create a feel good atmosphere but really now, there is no denying we Democrats invoke tears and create that loving feeling over and over again during our conventions. Each party trots out the sad life story telling folks in an effort to humanize their candidate and each, of course, has speakers that truly believe in their party message. But I must ask you to admit, that it is singularly we Dems that invoke the REAL American ideal of we are ALL in this together and we shall overcome. Is the message or the medium more important? Oh my, that is the eternal question but may I suggest that in Convention rhetoric the presentation is often the core value that is the true message – as such the tone is very important and I say the Democrat tone is one of inclusion and hope/promise for this great nation. Maybe the Republicans love U.S.A. as much but they certainly have of late shown themselves to be disdainful of many groups that make up our mosaic society. Sad really because in my childhood days, Republican versus Democrats was more nuanced – never us versus them at all costs as it seems today. No longer are there the proverbial two sides to this political argument – now it really is such a dramatic difference that no equalization can be postulated between the two parties. Yes both conventions are stage craft – slick Hollywood type productions but there is no ignoring that the Democratic convention, especially this 2012 event, severely differentiated between two views of our great nation.

True I have said – privately until now – that often after being on national and even local campaigns there are times I do not believe everyone should be allowed to vote … fleeting feeling but still when one realizes ignorant and hateful types vote equals your own more loving and generous vote – well then, it has caused the shameful thought to enter my brain that some are just too ignorant to decide who leads us. My better self kicks in and I coming to my senses, I know only democracy where all are included will sustain this grand experiment we call the U.S.A.. That realization is another reason I could only ever be a Democrat – for my party is singularly inclusive – the good, the bad and the real ugly invited in and allowed a voice. Frank Sinatra did a public service song once, What Is America To Me – it speaks to this very ideal that ALL are to be equally and fairly included no matter how distasteful the others of us find them. That is America – maybe not a real melting pot – probably more like a chunky stew these days but still we are all in one big family meal time. This great nation must not ever allow any party to so divide us that the outcome creates another civil war – yet some in the so called Tea Party of the Republican party, have suggested just that as a resolution to our problems. So when watching these 2012 conventions – be honest, which one showed that despite vast differences, ALL Americans are in this together? No denying it was our Democratic convention that demonstrated solidarity for ALL types in this country – it was we who made it perfectly clear that no American shall be denied a place at the table on account of race, religion, gender, ethnicity nor sexual orientation. We Democrats may not always love one another but we never try to kick each other out of our party nor our Convention.

In my last political blog post, I mentioned running for local township office a while ago – finding out we were pregnant, my husband and I decided to have me withdraw – proud to say I still got nearly 100 votes anyway. Recently I was approached to consider running again, for a more prominent office, after a few things settled in my life – all that will be detailed in my 2013 book, Heiress Mommy … A Modern Super Woman Life!. Very flattered and yes I agreed to meet with these folks some time soon but as I explained in that previous post, I prefer to be a king or queen maker – behind the scenes debater, promoter, financial backer/contributor  and campaigner because I could not/do not stand for lies, slander nor defamation – assume, as husband and I are now in process of doing against those miscreants [yes, got them mentioned even here], we would be forced to sue and reproach the lie telling types that seem to proliferate during campaigns. So what does this have to do with conventions? – plenty because so much puffery and so much real misrepresentation seems acceptable at these events. Now mind you both parties do their fair share of truth bending but oh my, the Republicans definitely came out the champions in that ugly contest this year. The GOP convention practically accused we Democrats and more specifically President Obama of selling out America to a foreign entity. Odd don’t you think when one considers Mr. Romney’s business history of outsourcing jobs and his $$$. This is not to say individual Democrats never exaggerate the negative character of our opponents – that is not my particular style because my philosophy is that the REAL negatives of my opponent are quite enough to highlight the differences. Still one must admit, the Republicans go way over the top in insult us – nearly calling we Democrats devil worshipers and anti G-d. Well not REALLY that important I guess. But I must and surely will not be the first to ask the Republicans … do you hate Obama more than you love America/are you hoping for U.S.A. to fail just so you can win back the white House? No need to answer – seems obvious enough that on some level, sadly, the answer is yes. So you see – more reason moi will probably, almost surely, never run for elected office. Does not mean I am going to miss any more Democratic conventions though … answer is NO, even though I was resigned that babies, school, book contract and moving kept me from accepting my invite this year. No matter what, I am going to be [G-d willing] wherever my party celebrates four years from now … hopefully at the convention where we nominate Hillary Rodham Clinton for President of The United States Of America!!!

P.S. Shout out to my peeps who messaged me from North Carolina, including our twins Auntie Lori K., to dear Kristin C., running for Congress in Virginia [who will need to re-inscribe books she sent our boys, Aleksander & Chase with Congress Woman Auntie when she wins in November], to Honora P. and all my other darlings so involved and so devoted to being a part of this great America election process … you all inspire me & make glad my heart!!!
